I have been taking my dogs here for 6 years now and each time I come, it seems like I'm billed for every little thing and everything gets more and more expensive. The price per visit goes up every time and this time when I called for requesting a prescription renewed for my dog, I drove all the way there just to be told that they prescribed a completely different, more expensive pill. Had that been communicated over the phone, I would have just asked for the old one as it worked fine, but the vet wasn't in anymore and I wasted part of my evening driving for no reason.

We are so grateful to the team at Ridgehill Animal Hospital. We came to them in an emergency and they were so gracious in finding us time.
Our beloved cat, Kobi, was not doing well. We knew he was really sick. They helped us by doing a few tests to see what was going on, but when they realized he was beyond help they were so kind and sensitive in helping us make the decision to let him go. They treated us with such dignity and helped us through one of the hardest days of our lives. The standard of care they provided Kobi in his short time with them was exemplary. I wish we had found them so much sooner. I decided to try them based on a review I had read about their care and excellence and I was so pleased that the review was right. If you are worried about your cat, and need expert advice, this is the team.
Thank you all so much. We will never forget your kindness.

Dr. Pierce is exceptional.I've met many vets throughout my years in the CT Rescue Community and my profession as a canine behavioral trainer.I've met some good ones, I've met some bad ones. However, Dr. Pierce is one of the best. She is both exceptional and passionate about her profession.

We've been going to Ridgehill Animal Hospital since 1997, so we feel we truly know this place well, and we're happy with the care given. We especially love Stacy at the front desk, she's kind beyond kind, and we love Dr. Moruzzi, she is a treasure, she's unbelievably knowledgeable, skilled, patient and kind. We adore her, she's taken care of our pets for almost ten years now. We just got a new puppy and she has given us excellent care as always. She made her spay surgery with hernia repair an easy experience and recovery for our puppy. She also took care of our love, our Coco, who was the best girl, she was a rescue, she was up in age, and Dr. DiLeone cured her Mast cell tumor, and later Dr. Moruzzi kept her well for years with Cushing disease, she also repaired Coco's knee with a TPLO surgery that was a complete success!! Sadly, yesterday at 15+, we had to say goodbye to our Coco, she developed a heart murmur that caused a stroke, it was time, a decision that broke us to make, we had to rely on a vet we didn't know, over the holiday week, but we have to give a huge thank you to Dr. Everett!!! She is incredible, she told us what we needed to know to make the right decision, she stayed with us through the whole process, she gave us time to grieve, to say goodbye as a family, and she did it with great knowledge, compassion and love. We will always be grateful for her, she was like an angel of mercy who walked into the room and held our hands through it all, making sure that our baby was given a graceful and painless experience as she went to the other side. She was held by her whole family, and had love and respect around her the entire time. We should all be so lucky to have a final send off like that!! Thank you to these angels for keeping our girl healthy and happy through the years, and thank you for helping her in the end too, the team at Ridgehill were part of protecting a beautiful life and we are grateful.

I can't say thank you enough. This place was more than just a vet to us. We are glad that we found them and switched after he got sick. When my husband and I moved to New Haven, people we knew recommended Veterinary Wellness Center. I didn't know that there would be difference between Wellness Center and a hospital. (Please take your pet to a hospital not a wellness center.) It was fine until my dog started to pee brown/reddish color during covid in August 2021. My dog was a senior dog. We called the vet and they said it was dangerous for him, but they couldn't make an appointment for us because it was booked. They told us to go to Emergency Vet. I went to any other vets I could see and showed the picture of his pee color. They said the same thing. We had no choice. We took him to the emergency place. It was horrible. We had to wait hours and hours in the car. They took my dog and we got a phone call later. They said he had a tumor on his abdomen. They told us to do Ultrasound. It was a weekend. They didn't have anybody to do ultrasound. They just discharged us and told us to talk to our vet. We called the vet next day to schedule ultrasound. The vet and the emergency place miscommunicated and lost that 24 hours time-line for the emergency place. The wellness center had a person who did ultrasound once a week and had to wait till Thursday. We called the emergency place. They were like "It has been more than 24 hours since he got discharged. We consider you as a new customer, so you have to wait in lines again." We called the place. We left the message for the voice mail, they called us back to schedule. If we didn't answer the phone, we had to wait again.. We ended up doing ultrasound at there and found out my dog had a tumor on his spleen. They said it could rupture any time and kill my dog. The emergency place didn't even care that he could die any time. They said there were lots of operations scheduled before me. They couldn't do the surgery. Wellness center was not doing that, either. We were devastated. We asked our friends if they knew any good vet. My friend referred me Ridgehill Animal Hospital. We called them. The owner "Adnan" got the message that my dog's critical situation. He took our dog asap. My dog got the surgery with Dr. Dileone. After the surgery, we waited and found out that his tumor was not cancerous. My dog Koko got so much better and healthy so quickly after the surgery. Vet technicians and receptionist Katie (If I remember correct) took care of my baby like their own dogs. We love them so we decided to switch our vet! Koko was good with them. He just started to have accidents and drank lots of water about a month ago. We thought he was getting UTI and took him to the vet. We found that he was diabetes. His body was already using Ketones. He was fine on his first week. He was getting sick quickly because of DKA and etc... Wish we could have found that he was diabetes earlier. His organs - especially liver were failing... Koko was getting sick and weak quickly because he started to get picky and didn't want to eat with things going on for him. We were so worried. Whenever we called Ridgehill, they always made time for him. Dr. Moruzzi, Pierce, Dileone, the owner Adnan again, vet technicians Beth, Mary, Steven, and receptionist Katie, Beth, Stacey, and Emily... (I might have missed some names.) They listened to us, communicated with us so well, and cared for my first fur baby Koko! They did their best to treat him to make better and made him again with us. They cared so much for him in so many ways. Koko's time was coming. They earned extra time for us and Koko to get his last energy so we could say good-bye to him. We could be with Koko on his last moment at home. It hurts that he is not here with us any more.. but Ridgehill was the best vet we could have found for Koko. They gave us extra time since his last surgery. We could have extra 2 years and few months because of Ridgehill. We miss him. If we get a dog again while we liv
