Disappointing. Bad customer service. The first pre-approval I received was fantastic; very quick and from a super personable Jeff McKinney. He WAS fantastic. After I told Jeff that I am being laid off, but I will have a continuation in employment elsewhere, we had to halt with the mortgage process. I had absolutely no problem with this, and up until this point, I would have given the Movement Mortgage a 5-star review.Note that this is my first home purchase and on only my own salary, so I was not approved for a major mortgage. I believe this is exactly why I received poor customer service once I started with my new employer; because the loan isn't worth their time.Fast forward to after I started my new position in a new company. I am making slightly more money than I was when I previously applied for a mortgage.Jeff wasn't entirely responsive, I am assuming due to personal issues. Understandable; just don't make deadlines you can't keep.He ended up pawning me on to Lori, a junior loan officer. I provided Lori with all of the information she requested from me in order to move forward with my pre-approval. Great, right? After 8 days I requested a follow-up from Lori. Nothing. No response, not even an acknowledgement, no update. Nothing. She ghosted on me.I reached out to a different loan officer in another company and they provided me a pre-approval within 8 hours of me submitting every single document that I had previously submitted to Lori. For this reason, I gave the Movement Mortgage a 2-star review.Who knows, maybe if you make a lot more money than I do, the loan amount will be a lot more, and possibly worth more of their time.Good luck
