We just completed a kitchen renovation with the outstanding assistance -- actually leadership-- of Chellie Root at Kitchen Advantage.
She is thoughtful about your design and takes the time to get to know you and understand your objectives. In addition to that and perhaps most importantly, she is infinitely patient -- and anyone who is involved in a renovation project knows full well how quickly things can change and how dynamic the situation can be. Yet Cheliie manages to stay on top of it all, then anticipates problems and solves them. She is one of the most pleasant people I've met and certainly one of the most talented in her area. ( And we talked to a lot of people-- no comparison) Dont bother talking to anyone else. Just call Chellie!

Chris Angeski did a great job from start to finish. He laid out everything for us and followed through to the end. Brian Smith did a fantastic job on the installation. We just completed a complete kitchen remodel using Kitchen Advantage.They do no actually do any installation of anything.They help you design your kitchen and sell you the cabinets and associated hardware.You will need your own contractor(s).In my case they recommended a contractor who worked out pretty well but they are completely separate transactions and not technically affiliated in any way.Overall they were decent to work with but there were some areas we weren't thrilled about.First they were kind of expensive for the cabinets. I get they are also helping with design and the cabinets are better quality than what you can get at the big box places but still I think a little overpriced.Also there were some areas that once the cabinets were installed seemed to be lacking. For example we needed to buy cabinet panels that honestly should have been part of the initial cabinet purchase or at least we should have been offered the option.So ordering these panels after the install was under way added a couple thousand dollars of cost and held up the contractor while we waited for them to come in.I understand the additional cost but they should have been part of the initial purchase and that would have saved some headache.Also it seems that many cabinets bang up against each other when you open them which doesn't seem normal and wasn't an issue in the old kitchen. Not a deal breaker but annoying and should have be caught in the initial kitchen design.Also we have been having a hard time getting anyone to call us back on some cabinets that have some defects and might need to be repaired or replaced. I'm not going to lie, this is annoying and still on-going.But overall we are happy with the way the kitchen remodel came out. Initial cabinet delivery ended up being exactly the date we were given, though it did take a few months because the cabinet company was backed up. But that was expected.Also I noticed that at least one of these favorable Google reviews is from a current employee which doesn't seem entirely ethical to me.I wouldn't discourage anyone from using them but I would shop around as well.Services: Kitchen design

I'm on my third kitchen from Kitchen Advantage, and have recommended them to friends and work associates. I have been satisfied every time. Any issues with product have been promptly resolved. Their designer Lisa, goes out of her way to make sure your kitchen matches your every need. I wouldn't go anywhere else for kitchens and bathrooms.

We remodeled our kitchen in our three year old condo.The new kitchen was moved into our previous dining room allowing us an open environment and the previous kitchen became our new dining room. Chris, our designer was fantastic! The Kitchen Advantage contractor was excellent. Our project was completed on time. The quality of the KraftMaid cabinets we purchased from Kitchen Advantage is exceptional. We highly recommend Kitchen Advantage.Services: Kitchen design

Working with Chellie Root with Kitchen Advantage to remodel my Mother’s kitchen in Hamden, CT has been great. She paid attention to details and budget and uncovered possible interference with heating units and door openings. She helped us bring our concept of the kitchen alive and turned out much better in person than on paper! The installer, Brian did a magnificent job with our installation. His 15 years of experience really showed through. His meticulous attention to detail is outstanding. He created the duct work for are OTR microwave and it is a work of art!
