I used to love this place. The staff is fine, the products are good (if you can get them). My main problem with Choice Pet now is stocking issues. I've been a customer for about 10 years, currently I am buying 4 different items from this store... treats, canned pumpkin, chicken (bone) broth, and meal toppers for my dog. I stop in anywhere from two to four times every month to replenish my stock of each item...lately, over the course of the last 2 months, at least one of these items is out of stock for weeks at a time. When I ask about stocking issues (because I never used to experience this), they claim that the system automatically re-orders items as they are sold from the store, this is simply untrue based on frequent out of stock issues for days or weeks at a time.

They have Open Farm, which is one of the best, humanely sourced dog foods that you can buy in a pet store along with Stella and Chewy brand.I always have trouble finding Small Breed in the 4 Lbs size bags in most pet stores. They have plenty! Very happy I found this place. I didn't even know they existed until today.

This is a small pet store with a local feel and its good for the basic cat, dog, and bunny needs. They have food, leashes, carriers and clothing. I try to support/shop local when I could vs the big online stores.It would really make my kids happy if they were able to bring back some of the live fish or small animals they used to carry in the past.

Amazing prices and such a Great staff- I shop in the north haven location and they are very knowledgeable about the products they sell! The woman who is the manager there now is always so helpful and cheerful! It seems like she works almost everyday but she always has a smile on her face and eager to help! I love that there are still companies out there who focus on real customer service and have people who actually enjoy their job!

The new manager their Crystal was so amazing and helpful! WonderfulPersonality- great with customers- she helped me find a new topper and food for my picky picky dog, who loves it! Will shop here as long as they keep having great employees

The employees are so nice and knowledgeable about animals. The manager crystal who works there walks me to my car everytime I shop there because I'm older and walk with a cane. she walks my carriage back in for me as well. They have everything you need for great prices too.

Best pet food/pet product store around. Their prices are great, and all the people who work there are extremely knowledgeable about their products. Plus, they are all super nice. They know the various ingredients in all the lines they carry, and they helped my pom a lot by recommending a different (and actually, less expensive!) brand of pet food for my dog that helped with his chronic coughing/allergy issues. Plus, they donate returns, etc. to a local shelter. Can't ask for anything more!

Beautiful store (previously Pet Value ?). I went specifically to bathe one of my dogs but also to pick up cat food. I was begrudgingly allowed to bathe my dog as we just made the cutoff but the "you need an appt to bathe your dog" and "you can't bathe them less than 2 hours before closing" rules are ridiculous. Especially since you have now started charging for baths. Give the option for reservations and then give priority to those folks if its busy. A 30 min cutoff before closing is reasonable but at least drop it to 1 hr before”. Not everyone that's bringing their dog in to bathe is planning their day around that activity. Some of us want to stop in after we have taken our dog to the beach or hiking, in which case having to schedule an appointment makes absolutely no sense.

My cat loves the dry food from Grandma's naturals, but if I am honest I'd buy it somewhere else if they sold it. The prices are pretty high.
