I have never dealt with a business that is so unorganized, unprofessional and incompetent as this Smithland (old Agway) store. I placed an online order and was charged before the store verified that they had the items available. They wound up only having a fraction of what I had ordered and gave me a credit for the amount that should have been the actual charge, instead of the amount of what I wasn't getting. I guess they can't do simple arithmetic. Not surprising, considering the immature, child-like employee who called to inform me they could not fill my entire order. Spoke to manager Scott (an actual adult) who was rude, did not take responsibility for the issue -- It wasn't his fault, "It's our computer system." No apology. A week later and I am still waiting for a correct credit on my card. Oh, the 1950's called and they want their computer system back...Oh, wait, we didn't have computers then, but that's the system Smithland has now.

My go-to for the needs of groundskeeping and pet foods. If you're into landscaping this is the place. In addition to their Great Prices, they are extremely helpful in information about pest control. I'm not trying to harm anyone's animals, have to be very careful in what you use for rodent deterrent.

Just had the greatest experience with Jenna who spent lots of time helping us find the right harness for our pooch. We usually come for flowers and mulch but this was a brand new (and great) experience for us. Agway/smithland continues to slay!

The mulch pricing was very competitive compared to other stores in the area, and the quality is much better. The store itself is very nice and has a good selection of pet supplies.

Stopped in while I was in the area and was very surprised at how much selection there was for pet supplies. Jenna and Brandon were super helpful when I asked a few questions about the dog and cat food and gardening issues. Will definitely make a return trip.

I am so pleased with my experience at Smithland. I cannot say enough. The customer service is truly superior; above and beyond my expectations.I rescue and rehabilitate feral cats. They are very particular about their litter, so when I found this litter that works well AND they accept; I was thrilled! Tidy Cats Pure Nature is the best litter I have ever used. Unfortunately, it has been discontinued by the manufacturer, Purina. I am grateful that Smithland had a few bags left in stock. This purchase was really important to me because it allows for a smoother transition to a new litter. There also were some logistics to figure out, as I live near Plymouth, MA.Thank you to all of the associates at Smithland for making this happen. I love this place! I wish I was rich because I walk around and look at all of the gorgeous flowers ??. A gal can dream, can't she!? LOL. They have everything you need, it's nice and clean and organized well. The nursery is like walking thru heaven.

Really sad experience at Agway today. I brought a propane tank in for refill and when I got home I noticed it was leaking. When I brought it back the manager said he wouldn’t do anything for me except refund the cost of the propane refill because I couldn’t show that the refill had anything to do with the failed valve. I explained to him that although I could not prove it there were no issues with the valve when cooking using the tank the day before. Although I didn’t expect a free replacement, most places would have at least given a discount on a new tank when the valve broke when they were refilling it. Very disappointing. I suggest people might want to take their business elsewhere now that Agway is just another corporate place that doesn’t care about long time customers.
