In July '23 Volpe sold me a 2014 Honda Civic with 118k miles and I worked with Brad to make sure the vehicle (had two previous owners) would work for my needs. I needed a daily driver that would work for a short daily commute. I first looked at their inventory, discussed with Volpe and bought it all in the same day but I did a lot of research on what used make and year would make the most sense for my needs. I looked over the Carfax (good servicing, no recalls and light accident history in the Carfax report) with Brad before purchasing the vehicle and if they could do additional tests/servicing if the carfax showed lapses in areas. There's a lot of information out there unique to each OEM, so you should know that depending on what you buy that the timing of when you need to bring in your used car again for servicing will be different. My Volpe car is still going strong with no issues, so do your research - what does the wider mechanic community say on online threads or YouTube about your pick's engine, transmission, reliability, etc - there's great variability across makes and even across models of the same make/brand - and it keeps changing so you have to choose between buying more often, or servicing more often.”
