Rocky Neck State Park is a smaller, nicely maintained state park with a clean beach and subtle waves, making it perfect for families and younger kids. The beach is not very wide and is a pleasant walk from the parking lot, accessed by walking under the Amtrak train tracks. Lifeguards are on duty during peak season, and the water is pretty shallow for a long distance. The park offers plenty of grills, hiking trails, and bird watching opportunities, where visitors can see egrets, cormorants, ducks, osprey, and more. It is an ideal getaway for creating unforgettable memories, whether soaking up the sun, playing beach games, or enjoying a picnic. The campground is quiet and not crowded, with each site having a fire pit. Showers are accessible by the beach, and potable water is available. The marsh is full of life, and the beach is gorgeous, with lots of small fish, crabs, and snails. Visitors will find two level 2 EV chargers at no cost. The park provides a perfect escape for everyone, from the trails to the beach, offering lots of fun and a chance to immerse yourself in the present.
Free to cars with in state registration. Beach is clean and lifeguards on duty during the peak season. Plenty of grills, hiking trails, bird watching opportunities and even 2 level 2 EV chargers at no cost!
