Great selection and friendly staff. With the additional space they now have a toy store and a gift shop. And the gift shop carries a selection of books from the Newtown Historical Society.

Prices are higher than big box but the staff is very helpful and the gift wrapping at no charge is a great service - we like supporting local and process are definitely fair. Selection is really good for a smaller gift store - definitely geared towards children with inside and outdoor play options. Good balance of boy/girl selections. Has some Lego options available. Overall a true gem.

Not just toys that why I love this store. They have a great variety of gifts for men and women. I stopped in for a last minute gift for my niece and even found something for myself. The young staff are so friendly. They gift wrap too for free.

Amazing service! Especially through this pandemic. I’ve had things delivered, picked up contact free, and felt very comfortable with being in the store. Lots of Christmas shopping at the toy tree! Unique gifts and great staff!

The staff was awesome and SO helpful! My kids told me-at the last minute, 2 weeks before Xmas 2020,-that they wanted Peppa pig stuffies, and not one bookstore, toy store, big box, gift shop, craft store, or grocery Store within an hour of my home had ANY! I tried to order online but post office delays resulted in a shipping date well after Xmas, so as a last ditch effort to be the cool mom I called the toy tree-over an hour from my home and they not only had a peppa, but also a George and were so kind to hold for me! Thank you ladies so so so much-you've made a stressed mom relax and you're about to make a 2yr old boy and a 4 yr old bot very happy on Xmas morning!

Their website is open and you can order on the phone or internet during this awful pandemic. Although you can’t go inside the building due to the Coronavirus, but parents should drive to newtown to pick up the gifts for their kids. So this way their Easter gifts this year won’t get contaminated by the Coronavirus. Stay safe out there! And don’t go near anyone who’s sick. Got my dolls from there!!!

Didn't know what to expect. FILLED with stuff for kids. BOOKS, water toys, board games, TONS of science crafts, and then yeah...toys! They had some cool looking women's jewelry there as well and the staff was very helpful and friendly. If you are looking for stuff for your kids to do this summer while sitting at home, GO HERE!!! Just be prepared to spend some money, not because it's expensive, just because they had so much good EDUCATIONAL stuff!! What a great store!
