This shop is another one of Newington's hidden gems. It deserves far more publicity than it will ever get. The shop was one of the first independent health food stores when it opened and is one of the last independent health food stores left. The shop offers health food, supplements and a great line of healthy skincare products.My father started using this shop when it first opened, decades ago, as he sought to balance medical control of his health conditions with a more holistic approach. He was never disappointed with the staff's ability to answer his questions and credited the shop with his longevity. I have found time and again that this is still true today.Janet and Tabitha are an amazing source of information on supplements and how they can affect your health, mentation and daily life. They're happy to sell you an individual item or to listen to your questions and concerns. They can offer a wealth of excellent questions to ask a healthcare provider about a condition and they're great at telling you how specific supplements are expected to perform. They have an amazing knowledge on how the modern diet affects many health conditions for old and young alike. Unlike big box competition, they quickly get to know their customers, often seamlessly picking up conversations from the last visit.

Every time I enter their doors I feel welcome and all questions I have are answered! They have a huge selection of all things nutritional! If you ask a question they will help you find what you need, offer to order or direct you to somewhere to get it. They are soooooo nice and knowledgeable!
