Today, on 3/21/24, my wife purchased three tickets at $16 each for an Easter breakfast event which supposedly included activities for kids, even our 2-year-old daughter. However, upon arrival, there were no activities other than coloring. The breakfast consisted of pancakes, peculiar scrambled eggs, and French toast, which I found unappetizing. I expressed my disappointment to my wife immediately. Stew Leonard's should feel ashamed for failing to deliver on their promise to provide activities, especially to children who were expecting more. As someone who regularly feeds the homeless and organizes events with better food and entertainment for children, I expected more from them. Shame on you, Stew Leonard's.

Have you ever bought gas for your car? You know how there's a price under every octane grade of gas and you get to make an informed decision as to which one you're going to buy and put into your vehicle? 87-89-91-93......Well, it's the same basic process for beef. There's USDA grade Select, Choice and Prime and each has it's own prices because there's distinct differences that make Select inexpensive and Prime the best. The grading system is used universally in this country and is implemented by the United States Department of Agriculture. The standard is important because without it the American people could be vulnerable to predatory businesses who could sell inferior beef at a higher price. Well, allow me to introduce you to Stew Leonard's. As a customer, I've come to notice that Stew Leonard's often advertises beef "direct from Midwest ranchers" but seldom discloses the USDA grade of the beef they're selling. When I began noticing this, I started to ask what the USDA grade was of advertised specials. The response was even more concerning. Rather than simply answer the question, Stew Leonard's told me to call their butcher to learn more about all the different beef they sell. A deflection, at best. I have a collection of screenshots proving that Stew Leonard's routinely advertises specific cuts of beef and a published sale price without disclosing the grade. The prices usually seem decent, but it's impossible to know for certain what USDA grade you're buying because they refuse to say. And just as I won't put 87 octane gas in my Audi, I won't purchase, cook and consume USDA Select beef unless I've made an informed decision to do so. USDA Select is the lowest grade of beef. It's tough, lacks marbling, and probably came from an old steer. Will it kill you? No. Should it cost you less? Absolutely. Is Stew Leonard's selling it to you at inflated prices to amplify their profits? 100%.I should mention that the posts that I have screenshots for have all been taken down on the same day that Stew Leonard's made headlines again for inaccurate labeling. A very strange coincidence, indeed. If you have any doubts, please know that I actually took the advice of Stew Leonard's themselves and called their expert butchers. The butcher I spoke with told me that ALL the beef that they sell is USDA Select (unless otherwise marked).Ever feel like you've been taken advantage of? It's because you have.Sadly, this isn't the first time this family has behaved as though they were above the law. Stew Sr served jail time for tax evasion, and more recently the grocers have made headlines for inaccurate labeling (sound familiar?) in their bakery. Back in January, a woman *died* after ingesting some cookies with undeclared peanuts and eggs sold at Stew Leonard's. This week they're in the news again for undisclosed milk and eggs in their apple pie & crisp.Every other grocer, big or small, labels ALL their beef with the respective USDA grade. So why not Stew Leonard's? Because Stew Leonard's is making big profits by selling you crap. That's why.

Products are fresh undoubtedly but very much costlier in comparison with other places. The interior is really different, organized and they have created themes like Disneyland. Haha, if you even don't wanna buy, you can go for a visit. I liked their concepts. They have flower sections also...

This is not your typical grocery store. It was a much more enjoyable shopping experience than most markets. There were many fewer big-named brands than at most stores. Instead, it was chock full thier own foods. The produce section was very varied and a great way to start your food shopping adventure. The bakery section was nearly overwhelming, and all the other departments were amply stocked.I was impressed by both the layout as well as the placement of products. The aisles are purposefully designed to guide you from one department to the next. In fact, it would be more akin to a meandering path. There were shortcuts from one section to another, but overall, you are drawn to explore the store in its full glory. I also noticed that there were items placed strategically throughout. For instance, I saw some of the items (like condiments) were in several places. The final impression that I was left with was the little bit of whimsy scattered throughout. At various locations, there were animateonics that can be activated with a simple push of a button. I especially liked the moving cow in the dairy section, although there were plenty of others which to be entertained by. I saw a singing chicken in the cheese area, but that's a story for another time.

A regional chain of supermarket located in prime location of Newington. The decoration inside is too good. I was taken aback when I first visited the place. The price is however in a higher side. There’s a liquor store inside as well. Budget customers however prefer to visit Sam’s club across the street.

Check your produce. I would expect top quality produce from a store like Stews. We got a bag of oranges, and 2 days later, they are covered in mold. They did offer for me to drive a half hour each way for a 5 dollar refund.

One of the favorite grocery stores to do shopping. Everything is fresh. You will find even prepared food that can compete with top restaurants. Don't forget to get an ice cream on the way out, so delicious that will "put the cherry on the cake". Have a great time there

Dont go too often because of the maze and hard to find products. My 1 star reason is the hot food to go. It's a sticky disgusting over priced mess. The food is horrible and charge like its filet mignon. Never again. A tiny bit of rice and vegetable couple pieces of unidentified meat and its 15.00. Fix your store. I bought the raw chicken there twice and it smelled like rotten eggs twice. I'm done
