Under new management and my experience today was unpleasant. Prices are high, items with holes priced as new.. and new manager now will not sell you an item if it doesn’t have a price tag.. no matter how much you want it.. says it has to go through production again… which before they used to honor an item with giving you a price they thought was fair. So don’t shop for items without a tag. Disappointed with new management and will now go to another Savers location now.

I would stay away from their jewelry department. I am very disappointed in the piece of jewelry i bought that was overpriced. I bought what I thought was silver and gold and even asked the employee if it was real gold or plated and they said it was gold. Turns out when I got home it was actually gold plated and I over paid for sterling. It was about 6 grams of sterling which is worth around $10 and I paid their price of $95. Very upset with this realization and they don't allow returns so I am stuck with overpaying. Its simply fraud and deceiving customers. I reported this to their corporate office and got crickets. No response because they don't care that they robbed me. Bring a magnifying glass with you if buying silver/gold from them.

Savers always has a broad variety of anything you might want or need. The store is well labeled into sections overhead, and each rack has contents and sizes clearly marked.
The dressing rooms have been removed since Covid which makes trying on some clothing a challenge. The store offers an exchange of clothing items within a few weeks, but the exchange needs to be done the same day making sure you buy more. All that said, my overall experience is often fruitful with the clientele and staff always friendly and helpful.

Clean store, lots of selection, and great staff. Price wise could be better. Also the parking lot could be better. I understand there is not alot of room but there is almost no parking. Other than that, I know it's early but I found the perfect Christmas tree that I was able to decorate with Halloween skeleton for the mean time. Other than that I will be coming back because I love treasure hunting and this is a large enough store to do that in.

I love the Newington Savers! So many great deals. Special shout out to Jason the tech-wiz for helping me at the checkout, and to Dionne for always being so kind, and professional! They are both great assets to the organization.

This place used to be fantastic. Whoever is marking up the prices now is a crook. I've seen better deals at antique stores.

Very nice store. I enjoy coming in this Savers every time I’m in the area. Lots of good stuff and much bigger than the one in Orange.

Stopped coming here a long time ago because the prices were shockingly high.... Went back and it's gotten even worse! Me and so many others have completely stopped shopping here because these pricers are out of touch with reality.

Prices are CRAZY! We should not be seeing lamps priced at 600 dollars! I don’t care what things are “worth” these are donated items and the one of the main points of these thrift stores is to cater to lower income people. Half of a doll bed for $50!? I could go on for hours. The lady that sits in the jewelry section pricing items thinks she’s working at Tiffany & co with the stickers she slamming on these things. I really love savers and I make the inconvenient trip quite often as I prefer it to goodwill but it’s just getting out of hand. Please please please get a handle on whom is allowed to decide the pricing here.

No more changing rooms, everything costs $10 or more, you can now exchange items within two weeks but you have to get a different piece of clothing to replace it, no money back, self checkout only. Clothes smell clean now though.
Highly recommend looking at other options like free clothing swaps (there's one in Middletown).

Yes, it was clean, the staff was nice.. but the prices were absolutely ridiculous compared to other savers or goodwill in MA or CT. I literally laughed multiple times in the store.
Initially I was excited cuz I saw full shelves.. but then i saw the prices and realized thats why. They aren't helping people who need it with these prices on donated goods and they lose any resellers who are a good chunk of the used good customers. I will never come back to this store.

Clean for the most part, except the furniture area which kind of becomes messy and hard to shop
Lots of co workers putting merchandise out during busy times of the store which was hard to shop trying to make sure your not in their way and big stands in the walkways
Some prices were still quite a bit high and the same as regular prices in other stores.
Staff at the case is a bit busy to help in any way ..or at least that's what it seemed when asking to see things on a few occasions
Bathroom was no good
No toilet paper, smelled awful, paper all over the floor. Told an employee and he said it's not his job to take care of bathrooms and walked away
This is a store I frequent and always have the same experience.
