I bought an item the previous day.That was defected when I tried to return it.I was faced with belligerence I was told they didn't do returns asked me if i was stupid.I was insulted,demeened and embarrassed..I use to frequent this family dollar multiple times a week..now im afraid of the employees there

AWFUL experience and AWFUL service. I’ve never been so disrespected in my life. The 2 ladies who worked at the Family Dollar on Farmington Ave in New Britain around 6PM (7/30/2022) are the most unprofessional disrespectful ladies I’ve ever come across. I did not deserve to be treated this way and embarrassed in front of the entire line. I was trying to make a return with a receipt and they refused to do my return, saying I needed to go to the family dollar that I bought them at which is an hour drive away. I was willing to do an equal exchange or gift card and they refused. They then ignored me and had others in line cut me off in line. I will NEVER give business to them ever again. I would love to discuss this further and in details with a store manager. Too much to type. Feel free to contact me.

9/21/22 I just downloaded the app and it’s actually quite useless!!! I’m not sure why it’s so hard to use an app for the family dollar store of all places!The app doesn’t give you the price. It just scans the item. Also, the store doesn’t have any prices on many items. Not good.My suggestion to mgt wd be to simply invest in your stores to ensure the huge broken price checker in the middle of the floor gets fixed so the customers can use it.Previous reviewThe store is very old and is in dire need of an over haul. This place and the staff are hit or miss for me. At times, they are personable, at times they are not. The lines are usually very long. Also, the prices for many items ring up differently than what is shown. I dont like that. This place has a very high turnover of staff.

I like this store very much, the plaza is quite and the staff is friendly they always say yes to cashback not like other family dollar's where they always have an excuse not to give cashback, the manager is nice too!

Made a purchase this afternoon about an hour ago, they had a trainee working and I did not receive a receipt. When I got home realized I did not receive my paper towels that were $5.75. tried calling the store ever since it rings and they hang up on me. This could have been resolved easily if I were able to talk to someone and make sure I got a credit the next time I walked in. It's not convenient for me to run back to the store since it's several miles away at this time. My purchase was around $30 and some odd sense I added up all the items that I brought home and there's a significant difference which leads me to believe I did not get my paper towels. I know everyone's busy but I thought this would be the only way I could get a response.

They are always friendly, great customer service, great price ,would love if they have more verity in cat litter bottle ,and need more cleaning supplies very bad ,other family dollars have a lot more verity,but customer service is below 0,please update your list ,store is missing alot .

The employees were helpful. A little too much chatty Spanish for my liking, but otherwise the store was clean, neat, orderly, and well stocked.
