It’s the kind of place where you can have a gift card on hand and give it to anyone and they’ll find something they love.

Don't travel far to get here, they won't let you use their restroom. It says "out of order" for a few years now. We know that can't be true for employees all day. lol. It could take a while to shop the whole store and try on clothes so it's unfortunate. They have some nice knick knacks and its clean and organized. Response: There are no "public restrooms" near Bank Street. Where do you think they are? It is unfortunate that you are punishing all your customers because one person misused your restroom a few years ago.

We saw this store on an Instagram and made the trip from the Bridgeport area. I am SO GLAD we did. This store is a gem. So quaint. So fun. So well curated. Like stepping back in time to many eras of yesteryear. Yet there’s a lot of fun little trinkets, toys and treasures. It’s like visiting a flea market or your grandmas attic except it’s clean and so well presented. It’s dog friendly and the owner was so kind to dogs and their humans.
Downstairs was filled with quality vintage clothing but well priced and clean.
If you’re a collector or just love perusing this is a great store to spend an hour in. (Also all of New Milford is a great place to visit and explore! Like a postcard of a New England village.)

The Hunt is easily one of my favorite shops ever. Gina and her team go above and beyond to curate a wonderful selection and to display items with care and creativity. The shop is organized and clean while still maintaining loads of history and charm. Downtown New Milford is very fortunate to have such a gem!

I absolutely love this place! I hope you get what I mean, but every time I go in it's like the Target effect, you go in just to look around and come out with 20 things. (Basically just to say they always have the best items) The selection is always changing, the employees are friendly, and it is a beautiful store to look around. Thank you for all the work you put into our community! :)

Rusty, crusty, and dusty, and yet a lot of great pieces with character and class. Admittedly, most of the aesthetics in the store weren’t my vibe. While the pieces appeared to be in great shape, it just felt a little too trinket focused for me.
I was pleasantly surprised by the downstairs collection of VHS tapes and it’s nice see clothing in antique stores organized and well presented.
Personally, I don’t think I’d stop in again, but if you’re in the area looking for some unique smalls, you might want to check them out.

I’ve visited the hunt in Brookfield first . When Gina moved her business to my town of New Milford I was thrilled. To have a fun and find many different style of decorating. I just love going in to see her new things she has in store for me . I’ve bought an old gum ball machine to go with our theater family room . Just love her store . ✨

A true gem in Connecticut. I love going here to wander, to be inspired, to cover and to buy beautiful things that deserve a second life. Just bought an amazing vintage black coat for a steal - it's the perfect piece for all my fall/winter/spring outfits. I find something amazing every time I go.

The Hunt in New Milford is a walk down memory lane, a place to find treasures and quite literally the coolest store I’ve ever seen.There are beautiful displays of perfectly curated items. Shelves full of things that bring you right back to your childhood, your grandmothers kitchen, things that remind you of people and places you’ve loved. What a gift to be able to step out of the craziness of today and be able to walk through an awesome shop and reminisce about yesterday.There is something for everyone there! The staff is super friendly, and there are nothing but good vibes, awesome music and a happy and upbeat atmosphere.
