Yawn ... another Home Depot. We haven;t been to this one before, and we came away thinking we needn't bother again. The store seems reasonably well stocked, as per most Home Depots, but we were looking for appliances (specifically a refrigerator) and meandered back to that section of the store. Lots of fridges, of course, but not a whole lot of variety among them, so we needed some help. Good luck with that. We know there are staff shortages everywhere, but we looked .. and looked ... and couldn't find anyone nearby. Or even far away. One staffer we approached in another department appeared to drift away from us quickly. Dunno. Didn't think we looked scary. But apparently we didn't look much like customers either. So we don't plan on returning. We made a photo, but not much purpose in showing the front of the building. It looks like a Home Depot.

Don't buy appliances here, even small ones like microwaves. Customer service guy is rude and tells you it doesn't bother him that you won't buy from them again. Return policy is 30 days so hope what you do get lasts longer than a few months because they won't try to help you out. And forget trying to contact a manager.........zero stars if I could

I have had good experience with the contractors working with Home Depot - we had a kitchen installed and several rugs. I went to the New Milford store Saturday morning looking for a hot water heater. We spoke with associate "Phil" he took our information and told us to expect later that day to schedule. No call Saturday. I looked at the paperwork and my phone number is wrong. Look at the website call general HD number - spoke with "Marcia" she had no record of any of my names or numbers or information in the system. Return to the store on Sunday and after a while searching for the account we decide to start the process all over. We dealt with Mark Anderson - he was very professional and helpful. We get a call Sunday afternoon and schedule a time for between 10-2 on Monday. Circumstances changed and later on Sunday afternoon I call and text all the numbers that I have to try and change the appointment. Monday morning I call and someone answers - we cancel the appointment for Monday and move it to Tuesday between 10-2. I TAKE TUESDAY OFF from work to be home for the appointment - around 1 o'clock I call and leave a message. At 315 the plumber calls and says they were held up at another call and need to reschedule. I understand that things come up and jobs run over time etc... but NO CALL NO SHOW is unacceptable . Try to reschedule and the only time they are available are 10-2 on weekdays. No flexibility despite the fact that they missed the first appointment. I return to the store and speak with Aaron. I explain the situation and he gets in touch with the plumber - Aaron tells me I have two options - pay a $250 to make it an emergency call or wait until Saturday. At this point I decided to take my business elsewhere. The lack of any type of flexibility from plumber and his complete lack of professionalism made it impossible for me to make this purchase.

over the last few years I have unfortunately stopped going less and less and after the last few weeks I am pretty much done need gutters 16 ft 1st time we went it said they had 9 got there and they had 5 all damaged so badly no one would want to use them there was even holes in them. We checked today said they had 16 nope we got there and it was the same ones that were badly damaged from before we asked if they had more and why were they leaving these here they said we could order them or go somewhere else if we wanted those they would give us a slight discount. What? You shouldn't be selling this stuff period. The fact that Home Depot is Leaving Badly Damaged material out for sale and not bothering to restock because they technically still have product is insane I guess your not making enough money off of your product markups on us consumers that you need to sell crap before we can actually get you to stock products worth $28 a piece so yeah buyer beware look at what you're buying half isn't straight wood is often bowed or a lo as for us we will be spending money elsewhere

I purchased a out door fire pit set from Home Depot. The color of the cushions were not the same as the picture. I asked to have them exchanged. The managers at Home Depot would not exchange them. They told me I would have to order the whole set again and put the old set in the box that it came in and return it. After purchasing a 1700.00 patio set and putting it together they wanted us to take it apart and put it in the box it came it. I will advise everyone I know to just shop somewhere else. I will not be spending thousands at home depot anymore. They have lost a good customer.

I have shopped this store since moving to New Milford three years ago and have had great service until now. I know these times are challenging but if you believe your an essential business to keep open please staff your business with people who still care about customer service. I went in on 4/14/2020 to return a few items from a major renovation ( All $10,000 worth ) purchased at this store. My return, Amounting to $72.58. So with my mask and gloves on I went to the customer service counter and the Man said I can't take this back it's used. Noooo it isn't, that's the way it's sold I told him , and it's dusty, so I wiped it off and we get into a heated debate on my 4 item return. He turns to another male working the counter and said you take this A.H. and he said no,I don't want him either. Well they decided to just leave me there and do nothing. 15 minutes passes and the manager does step in and tell me they really didn't want returns and points to a little sign at the counter and tells me that I should have known their policy because a lot of places are doing it. Duh had I known. I needed a cord and Water hose and clamps for a new dishwasher I bought and it didn't have these, so I thought I'd return the things I didn't need for store credit for the things I did need. Anyway my point is this, what the heck happened to customer service, if you don't want to be open during this crisis shut the hell down but stop treating customers with the attitude. I bought $10,000 dollars worth of construction material appliances and a spa and god only knows the many little things in all my trips in there and if I could return it all I surely would. Time for a new go to store!

Update:: Changed 1 star to 4 because I spoke with store management and they were deeply apologitic. I felt like they were on top of the issue which made me feel much better about my future with Home Depot New Milford. I really love walking through those isles. When an employee feels free and comfortable to say "I don't like you, sir" you know there's something wrong with the way the company hires. I shop at home depot 1 - 3 times a week. I've had mostly good experiences and one or two bad experiences with employees. As we know it only take one bad experience to taint an otherwise good relationship. Today, I had a technical question about a dado blade for my table saw and was looking for a hardware specialist. I asked the older man with the thick accent that mostly works the key kiosk if there was a hardware specialist around. He asked if he could help me. I had a feeling my question was beyond his knowledge base but gave it a try any way. "I have a question about saws." "What kind of saws?" Home Depot employee asked. "Table saws" I said. The employee just stared at me. "Table saws" I said again, and the blank stare continued. I said once more and it appeared to click. "Ok sir what's your question." The employee asked. "This is an 8 inch Dado blade and I have 10 inch saw, is this the ideal blade for my saw?" "Yes it's what we have in stock." The employee answered. That's not what I asked, so I rephrased. "Is this this best size for my saw, or do they make a 10 inch blade?" "It's what we have in stock so yes.." The employee answered. "Annoyed that the employee was clearly misunderstanding, I said Ok thank you and walked away, at which point the employee in a stage wisper said, "I don't like you, sir..." At which point I turn around and said "Excuse me?!" "I just don't want to give you the wrong information sir" He said, pretending like he didn't just express a very personal private negative feeling about a customer loyal to the store... I'm loyal to Home Depot but experiences like today make me think twice about my loyalty. I'm very disappointed in this example, of type of person Home Depot chose to hire. As an employee I have been tested to the limit and would NEVER think of uttering such sentiment to a good, consistent and nice customer.

Usually I have had great experiences here, however I went in to look at kitchen cabinets last weekend and was told "we don't have time for you. Call in to the store and make an appointment". I needed 3 cabinets, new the sizes style and layout, just looking for a quick quote but instead was "greeted" by a nasty lady who was too busy petting a dog, yes I'm serious, to pay attention to customers. Kitchen customer service has a lot of learning to do.

Worst customer service ever. Employees just walk past you. When you try to ask for assistance you get a chain of "not my department". Then try waiting for someone who actually works in that department to ever show up. No Homer awards there. Every time in HAVE to go there I end up in a rage. Try complaining to the Cashiers or have a Manager come over ...laughable. Drive the extra miles to Lowes. You'll be much happier.

We entered the store at 330 and waited more than 40 mins to have lumber cut. Several employees walked by and we even went to customer service and had someone page to help. When we finally got someone to help us he marked a board and said it was after 5 and he was supposed to go home and walked away. Next time we need anything for our home we will be driving the 32 mins to Lowes or find a mom and pop.

Typical big box mall stuff. Virtually all products these days are junk imports. There used to be more selection and US or Canada quality. There were some acceptable quality made in Mexico stuff, but now everything is made in Asia and designed to break after a few uses to make you come back and buy again. I get better service from smaller, in town hardware stores. If I need to buy quality tools, I go online and search by country of origin. We have gone to the Home Depot to arrange for 3rd party contractors through their network 3 times. The last 2 times, after spending time filling forms and describing our job, no one ever followed through. We found our own and they lost 2 jobs, but their staff are pleasant enough but indifferent.

Without question, some of the best customer service I've had at any Home Depot or any other hardware store for that matter. Any employee who is not already helping another customer is making sure I don't have any questions. Everyone I've spoken to at this location (and I've been there a LOT over the past 7 years) has been a tremendous help. The prices and selection are good, and the recent addition of an extra hour Monday - Saturday has saved my butt once so far (ran a little short on mortar mix halfway through the project!). They have recently built a massive outdoor/landscaping display in a part of the parking lot that I need to check out during my next trip there. I look forward to many more trips to this location!

I know most home depot's get a bad rep for customer service, but this one is great! Everyone is so friendly and happy to help, I love it! Never have I found a Home Depot as nice as this one :)

The only reason one goes to Home Despot is to save a little money. The experience is usually not at all pleasant! Need to check out Lowe's next time. Waited well over an hour for some tile they said was in. Came up short on the tile and we had to come back the next day. That's a half hour trip each way! There were dozens of employees looking for something to do and each came to ask us how they can help and not one went to the back to actually help. Frustrating! Reminds me of the old Home Depot Hell days of old in Miami! Root canal sounds better than a trip to Home Despot. At least you can lie down in a comfortable chair! The people were extremely nice and they took back the left over tile if the boxes were full. I guess the best part of Home Despot is they have a ridiculously liberal return policy. In Miami, they take back things that have been obviously used. Lol, I guess most of it is junk made in China and it only works for a few days! Oops, I was trying to be...I'll be nice! The employees are great and they take everything back!
