83 Merryall Rd, New MilfordMichelle and Paul,the devoted dog lovers who own and run(also reside on site)the impeccable Merryall kennels, are the only ones that I trust to take such good care of my Schnauzer mix CedricMichelle is truly an artist, her attention to detail when grooming him is a rarity to find these daysEach time I pick Cedric up he looks even better than the last visit, I don't have to give any instructions, he is treated with love and care and leaves happy and relaxed,looks forward to returning,actually trotting to the entrance waiting for Michelle,or Paul,to welcome him into their facility which was recently renovated, allowing for larger play areas and kennel runs.Paul oversees most of the playtimes,actually forwarding reels of Cedric's outdoor activities, interacting using several of the plethora of toys,balls,even a doggie 'fort' that they can climb up a ramp to!(mostly he enjoys sniffing after the other residents that cohabitate under the same roof ,but do not physically maintain any sort of close proximity,saving alot of potential snafus or playground disagreements, as well as allowing each guest total one on one attentionThe kennels themselves are kept clean but not in a cold, sterile manner...more like home away from homeThe play areas are soft gravel and some grass,again, kept quite pristine lolMichelle sends me pics during the phases of his grooming process, without me asking,which is another reason I am 100% a MerryallDevotee!!Their prices are quite reasonable considering all the attention and quality of care being receivedLastly, I realize that my exuberance may seem overly positive, perhaps a bit embellished....I can assure you ,it is all TRUE! Go see for yourselvesIt's a profound feeling of contentment when one knows their best companions are safe and happy ,truly loved, when we are separated from them,even for a short while

The Downtown Dog

They were able to make time for her early on a Saturday morning, last minute and no apt, and did a great job cutting down the smell. Skunk smell does linger but it was much more tolerable when she got back from her bath. Pricing was about average for her size and the service, $120 (she's a 65 lb shepard)

437 Danbury Rd, New MilfordProfessional, caring, empathetic. Three words I use to describe the staff at Valley Vet Hospital in New Milford, CT. They used SUCH care when we had to let our sweet kitty go over the rainbow bridge. We had our own room, I sang to her and they let us take the time to say goodbye and hold her little body as we cried. We've brought our other cats to Valley Vet and have always received the best care for them.

I had many questions, and John was patient enough to help me obtain ALL of my answers. I live in the Midwest. Due to our hectic schedules, we didn't purchase our dog from John this time. However, John has continued to be available for information and advice. I highly recommend John Henkel and Wilhendorf German Shepherd Dogs to anyone searching for a professional, courteous, and knowledgeable GSD Expert! We plan to obtain more dogs in the future.
