Jake's Diner on State Street
138 State St, New LondonWe are Breakfast people and boy were we glad we listened to the reviews and stopped by this gem of a diner on our way through new london. Best Omelet and Best Home Fries we have ever had! Never thought an egg dish could surprise us again; but the shaved steak omelet was out of this world good and the home fries cooked & seasoned to perfection. The chef here knows his spices and ingredients! We were so impressed. Friendly and authentic diner atmosphere. Thank you for a great meal and for entertaining our toddler so we can enjoy our delicious meal!

The Oasis Pub
16 Bank St, New LondonFound this place by accident while waiting for a train, and what a jewel of a find it is. We got there right after it opened and it was quiet, but quickly a few regulars showed up and the atmosphere couldn't have been better. The bartender was nice, funny, and made us feel as welcome as the regulars at the bar too. The decor and just overall vibe was stellar. I can only imagine how great it would be during peak hours with more people and live music. It is on the smaller side, so I can imagine it gets crowded, but that's half the charm of a hole-in-the-wall spot like this

Washington Street Coffee House
13 Washington St #1, New LondonThe baristas are the friendliest in the region. The hand packed tea sachets with loose leaf teas are the best anywhere. Egg tacos are so good, while being one of the healthiest breakfasts you will find. Pastries are fresh, opposed to the "other coffee shop downtown" that brings their stuff in from a warehouse club.

Captain Scott's Lobster Dock
80 Hamilton St, New LondonMy boyfriend suggested we come here for dinner as he was here years ago and enjoyed it. We came on a Sunday evening. No wait to order and it only took about 10-15 for our food. We sat at a picnic table not under the pavilion. Weather was perfect and the food was great! I had the platter of fried clam strips with fries and cole slaw. My boyfriend ordered a lobster roll, fries and the clam fritters. Everything was fresh and great!! We also were able to watch the sun go down as we ate!

New London Eats
2 Bank St, New LondonMonday 7/15 was my first experience at New London Eats. I've been back 2x since. The interior is immaculate, and all employees are kind, knowledgeable, and passionate about their menu . They have combos, build your own, or you can even order straight from the menu. My favorite so far is the nachos. With each visit, we were treated with respect and manners. In today's world, that's very hard to find. Please stop in. You won't regret it
