Went to Westville General to pick up some local New Haven themed gifts. It was a very cute and quaint shop. If you want local CT and New England items in the heart of Westville...this is your spot. We picked up two wooden spoons for a gift. One said New Haven, CT and the other said can't only eat Apizza. We grabbed an East Rock postcard and some stickers as well. The shopkeeper was very sweet and willing to help. This is definitely not an essentials store, but a really nice spot to pursue and buy unique items.

What a gem!! Great little store with new items regularly. I LOVE that so many items are local to CT or New England. I always go in for gifts for others and leave with plenty of things for myself as well.

Such a cute, well-organized general store! The workers are very nice and there's a large variety of goods - pantry supplies (hot sauces, spices, pasta), bar cart accessories, gardening supplies, pet treats, home goods (candles, small decor), shower/bath supplies, souvenirs, etc. There's a great selection of cheeses and accoutrements for charcuterie boards (you can even buy a wooden cutting board too!). However there is no fresh produce - most of the other food items are snacks/candy. I love how a lot of the items in the shop were from local/small businesses, but would've liked to see more from Connecticut specifically. All in all, I might come back for unique gifts and cute items for care packages or stocking stuffers, and maaaybe if I find myself needing an emergency charcuterie.

The workers there are SO friendly!! Loved it so much, it truly has such an amazing layout and the aesthetics are so well coordinated together. It’s really such a great store with an amazing selection of items and generally really fun browsing to do. Will definitely be visiting again, well worth the visit. :-)
