This is a business that has been serving the New Haven community for many years. They are located in a beautiful old house near the center of the city. They have ample parking and the staff was friendly when I went to a wake there yesterday. The building was clean and well maintained.

Mr. Celentano helped our family during a very difficult time. He was efficient, timely, compassionate, and truly went above and beyond for us. I can't imagine what the previous reviewer is talking about and I'm grateful I didn't heed that review. He's a very special man with a kind heart. Thank you Mr. Celentano.
In 1881 Danny Weller began serving the Jews in New Haven as the first Jewish Funeral Director in the State of Connecticut and perhaps one of the first in the country. Between 1923 to 1978, Weller’s served the community from 425 George Street. Harry’s daughter Sylvia and her son Danny Klein erected a new facility on the same site. At the age of 92, Harry passed away in 1975. Important changes were to take place in the 1980’s and now only a small percentage take place at the funeral chapel itself and have tended to be somewhat smaller in size than in earlier years. We’ve been proudly honoring that commitment to the local Jewish community ever since.
