Not sure if the employees here have ever been inside a post office themselves
to not having Box sizes the guy tried to tell me that they didn’t make an express priority mail shipping box
Terrible customer service definitely go to the Office on Whaley next to the plaza

I stopped coming here years ago. I drive by sometimes and laugh seeing long lines, or people getting angry because the doors are locked during business hours. They've lost hundreds of dollars of my packages, and are deeply inept at basic tasks.
This is in direct contrast with other USPS locations. The one in Orange is fantastic, and the one in Amity is full of people who should have master's degrees (like actual geniuses). Yale and Hamden USPS are good, even the one in the Hill is better than this one.

Went there at 2:15 to get a small package shipped, lady at the desk had no name tag or else I would’ve added the name but it was slow only one person behind me. I greeted her no reply, didn’t ask me to confirm the address, didn’t do the regular spiel of is anything fragile perishable etc, didn’t ask what price option I wanted, didn’t give me my total, didn’t tell me my change absolutely silent the entire transaction didn’t even look at me once. She had her headphones in and messing with her phone, wished her a good day and still nothing. I’ll take that job if you don’t want it ?

Whent this morning twice first it says it opens at 8:30-9oclock comes still aint open i go back the lady on her phone im waiting for more then 10 min place empty she dont call on me i go to the window for then to tell me she cant cash my money order they never have "MONEY"to cash money ordera never!!

One of the WORST USPS! Extremely SLOW! The staff took over 10 min and did not finish with one guy making 5 people waiting there!

The worst post office is CT. Random business hours which inconveniences everyone. Happened multiple times. Even when they are open they only have one person at the window which takes up so much time. Not only that but the staff is extremely rude. I ask one of the ladies a question and she doesn’t even talk. She just goes mhmm, The other lady always has an attitude when she speaks. I’m starting to believe half the time these employees don’t even work or feel like working. Save your time and visit the USPS in West Haven instead. 100x better.

Someone should be there at all times of operation. Not everyone can come back later because the employees want to close up randomly during business hours. They’re inconveniencing everyones day and on top of it everyone who works there has an attitude. This is the third time this has happened to me at this location. Whoever is managing should be fired.

I Visited this location on 11/8/2022 at about 3:45PM. I was there for 2 reasons, 1 to send something out, and second right a money order. I was next in line getting helped by a older lady named Collena. Let me start with how rude she was the whole transaction. I asked her 2 questions that she answered with rude remarks after asking help with the money order. She rushed my whole transaction, where after I felt clueless on the instructions she has given me. I ended up leaving in disbelief out of all my years coming here, I would get treated like this is as an customer! I was better assisted at the other location up the street !! Never will step I ever step my foot in this USPS location again .
