New customers: Be aware that the prices here are STEEP. The lowest cost washer is $4. The Wash Tub is fine in a pinch but definitely look for a longer term solution for your laundry needs.

Earlier this year my basement flooded and many of my clothes had severe mold damage. Martha at the wash tub truly saved the day and most of my belongings! She cleaned bags of clothes (cashmere, leather, etc.), bags, coats, and more in 24 hours and at an extremely affordable cost. Without her, I would have had to throw away most of my things. She handled everything with extreme care, and was very communicative and kind. I cannot thank her enough for all of her help and hard work! I would trust the Washtub with any of your belongings and recommend it to all my friends!! Go here for all of your cleaning needs!

Washed my clothes somewhere else the previous night and came in the following morning to use the dryers. My clothes were too wet according to them and made me wash my clothes again before I could dry my clothes.

I recently visited the self-service laundry mat and was pleasantly surprised by the new machines! The machines are all brand new and in excellent working condition, making my laundry experience quick and efficient.The dryers dried my clothes in no time, and the washers were just the right size for my laundry needs. I also appreciated the added amenities such as free Wi-Fi, a vending machine, and even a small seating area.Although there was no staff around, the facility was still very clean and well-maintained. It was evident that the management takes great pride in keeping the laundry mat in top-notch condition.Overall, I highly recommend this self-service laundry mat to anyone in the area in need of a reliable and clean place to do their laundry. The new machines have truly elevated the laundry experience and I will certainly be returning in the future.

Very clean laundromat. Recently they have updated their washers and dryers—the best rate for laundry in the area. Make sure you bring coins with you. They have a coin exchange machine, but sometimes it might be out of order or coins. Free wifi available.

The photos are not updated on the yelp page. They have newer machines and I haven't seen any mold in any of the machines. The place is always clean and tidy. There is also sanitizer to wipe down the fold station. The attendants are super nice as well. They have recently upgraded their snack machine My one complaint is that only the new black washers have hot water. I just wish this was posted, so that I knew from the start.

I lived in different parts of the area here in East Rock over the last 8 years. One thing has remained consistent and that's this laundromat. Literally Ive come here every weekend for the last 2 years. If this place had any bad qualities that I found unacceptable I would not still be going here. There are brand new machines. As well as the dryers. Which are so fast for a dollar you could dry a 15 lb 20 lb load. Now I don't know about the negative reviews. So what... the front desk is old carpentry. I'm not here to look at linoleum or formica. I'm here to get my clothes washed. If you want to get ripped off by somebody with a smile on their face go up the street to bubble and squeak. They'll charge you for hot water and give you cold. I'm very particular about quality of service, I'll tell a crooked business owner to his face that he's a crook. But not here, I'm satisfied. If you want light traffic, friendly people, clean machines and friendly help, this would be the place. (Oh I got one bone to pick, staff is not present more often than they are)

My friends, this laundromat deserves an award for the number of times I have been here after vowing not to return. Upgraded the star for the lowered drying prices (8 minutes/quarter) and the new change machine that consistently does provide change. Unfortunately, as a laundromat, The Wash Tub is kind of bad at it. The washers are still mostly broken, they don't have anything larger than a triple loader in service and the dryers are actually terrible. The only really good thing is that they have a food vending machine and patrons don't really stay inside, but I really struggle with whether my clothes are actually clean. This is a desperation spot for me.
