They have good costumer service and prices i have gone to them for almost 5 years but my pixie this last time around was a mess and when I went back to try and get it fixed my bangs got turned into a mess too. This is the first time I've hated my hair I got it to be an easy style and now I'm spending at least an hour to style it and having to wear headbands to hide it the messed up parts. The hair is growing back so strange and uneven it looks so awful all I wanna do is cry when I see it. I've never had a pixie cut this uneven and messed up.Update I chage the rating to 1 star cause this hair cut is so awful I'm gonna have to wear headwraps or hats till it grows out.

I felt like a different person after Danielle cut my hair! Perfect cut for me!

I went to the Hive for a haircut and glaze/gloss treatment and left disappointed. I have naturally wavy hair with some curls and the person who cut my hair said that she couldn't fully dry it otherwise it would get frizzy... which I thought was weird since all of the people who have cut my hair in the past use a combination of styling products and/or a diffuser hair dryer attachment.Additionally, I got a glaze treatment done and asked the stylist over the phone and in person if the glaze would be glossy. She confirmed that my hair would be very shiny for up to six weeks after the treatment. When she was done with the cut and treatment, she didn't show me the back of my head with a mirror to show me how the cut look. My hair was not fully dried, and I had to curl my own hair with my fingertips. My hair is not shinier than before either. This was a bad hair experience and I don't recommend getting your hair cut or treated here... plus, the music was depressing.Services: Hair glazing

Excellent colorists and stylists. Reasonable prices. They do “fashion” colors (e.g., pink) well and don’t way upcharge for them like some other places. I have an undercut with faded sides and Dan has always done a great job with that. Danielle and Savannah are great colorists.

Dani understood my course and curly hair from the jump, and cut it accordingly to enhance it. My first cut with her and it was the best cut of my life! I can't even dream of going to anyone else.Service: Haircut

Brittany has been my hair dresser for a couple years now, and she's always given me a great cut, even when I took risks like cutting all my length off to shaving one side of my head, and even getting me through postpartum hair loss.

Great experience at The Hive! Savannah gave me a great cut that I think will grow out beautifully and be easy to style. Down-to-earth and friendly atmosphere. Will be back.

**EDIT: Changing this review from 2 stars to 4. Jenna and Dan reached out to me and offered to fix my hair. They were very kind and accommodating, and thanked me for coming back, and they did a lovely job with my hair today.**TLDR: they accidentally dyed my hair red in December, and today my root touch up ended up with nearly all of my hair being darker than it was before and it has a green/blue tint.I really hate leaving bad reviews, but I am truly upset and frustrated. I usually get my hair dyed a golden blond color. I've been doing this for years and years and it's never been a problem until this year.In December I went in for a regular root touch up and showed example photos from my previous root touch up. My usual stylist (Jess--I love her) was out sick so someone called her to ask her what she usually uses on my hair. Somehow, even though I obviously walked into the salon with blond hair, and even though I showed several pictures of myself with blond hair, I ended up with rather bright red hair that day. (See photos.) They were good about rescheduling me so I could have it fixed, but it took several sessions to get my hair back to normal(ish), which caused a fair amount of damage to my hair, and I had to pay for all of these (including the red dye day) except the first fix.Today was not quite as bad as December but I am still frustrated. Same stylist as in December. I asked for a root touch up and again showed example photos of myself immediately after other root touch ups. After the cut and color, I put my glasses back on to find that instead of having lighter roots, my hair is, in fact, darker than it was before. The ends in particular are even darker than my natural hair color and look weirdly green--and they're certainly not blond anymore. I mentioned this and she seemed surprised that I was bothered, and told me it will wash out. She also told me I can come back and have it fixed if it's still too dark in a few days. I still felt kind of gaslit that no one mentioned that my hair would end up darker, even if it really is temporary. And honestly I'm not sure I want to have her fix it. At this point having her do my hair gives me anxiety that I will leave the salon feeling sad and uncomfortable.Everyone here is so nice, and it's a super popular and pleasant spot, but... I've not had great experiences lately. I can't believe how much money I've spent on hair that I don't want.(Photos: 1=before today's appointment. 2=today, after. 3=before December appointment. 4=after December appointment.)Services: Balayage

I went in for just a layered cut and 6-8 inches cut off. I wanted quite a lot of layers (I showed multiple reference photos) and a large difference in length all around my head, but the end result was not very satisfactory. I asked if they could cut more but was rushed out due to another client waiting. The result looked almost exactly the same as what I started with, and I felt very uncomfortable and disappointed in the end. I did enjoy the products they used when washing my hair, it smelled great for a few days after.
