I usually never patron this gas station because it's not near me but I needed a water before jumping on the highway so I went in and grabbed a bottle of water and a single ice cream bar out of the freezer, $6.99!!!! Ice cream was $3.95!!!!! For 1 single ice cream sandwich!! And then $2.50 for the water! Un real, and then I was watched like a hawk like I was gonna steal something, but then again I'm sure people do steal with prices like that geeeesh!

The people working here are extremely helpful and kind! Store is clean and the food is fresh, gas prices aren't bad either!

Gerry's Shell: no, Gerry does not make an ounce of effort to keep prices reasonable, as far as I can tell, but the staff here have always been friendly and kind to me and my child. Furthermore, the ice cream section almost always has the more interesting Ben and Jerry's offerings, and that's worth something. Excellent candy selection, including things you can't always find so easily like Skybars and Clark bars and Chuckles and Goetz Bullseyes. I don't find that the prices are significantly different from what I'd pay for candy anywhere else -- in fact, compared to some shops, the prices are bargain-rate. Some of these candies are, like, boutique items, at this point. I can pay $2.50 for it at the special candy shop downtown, or $1.25 for it at Gerry's.

Yesterday, the cashier of this store yelled at me because according to him I was not "speaking clear enough" and should "learn to speak properly". I am Italian and I have an accent, but so did he. His behavior was racist and I will not set foot in this store again. Stay away.

They sure charge you for the "convenience" at this store. A can of Coca-Cola is $1.25. Its cheaper purchasing a can of pop at the high end Italian market down the street. A brisk 1 liter ice tea is $1.50 even though it says $.99 on the bottle. I can't stand stores that think it's okay to jack up the prices because they can.

If I could give zero stars, I would. As another reviewer mentioned, the staff is extremely unhelpful to the point of being rude. It is as if they are doing you a favor by being there and beyond that, you're out of luck. The man was so rude when I was paying for my gas that I decided to leave without the other items I had planned on purchasing. There is a farther Shell (needed Shell to redeem Stop & Shop rewards), but I will make the trip as both times I have been here have been extremely bad experiences.

This place does sell gas, snacks, and other gas station things. That is about the best thing I can say about it. I bought two Blue Rhino propane tanks here. Fortunately I bought two! When I got home and tried to connect one to my grill it didn't work. A quick look showed that the O-ring was very old and cracked ... obviously the cause of my problem. I took the tank back to them to swap it out for a new one. The two guys working there refused to change my tank and instead suggested that I buy a whole new one (not even a refill!). We went back and forth for about 10 minutes, with me getting more and more pissed. They kept repeating over and over that they were not the manager, so they could not make any decisions about this, but also suggested that if the manager was there, he would probably refuse to swap it also. They did not contact the manager, but instead said that I had to come back when he was around. When was he coming in I asked? "Oh about an hour maybe" ... clearly they had no idea. Finally I got the idea to call Blue Rhino (the number is right on the side of the tank). The person I got was extremely helpful and explained that the Blue Rhino policy is that they will always swap out a full tank that doesn't work at no cost and without even needing the receipt. I even handed the phone over so that the Blue Rhino person could argue with the Shell employees. Even she couldn't convince them that they were being ridiculous. Finally, she told me that I could take the tank back to another Blue Rhino supplier, and fortunately there is a Walgreens just downtown on York St. THEY were extremely nice and helpful, and I will definitely be getting my propane from them now on. I would highly, highly recommend avoiding this place at all costs, especially if you have any need to deal with the people inside. They are completely incompetent.
