I avoid this one. Crowded, wait longer than anticipated, and other issues. Last time I was there the hallways smelled and I was told something was going on with the building.

The technician I had the pleasure of being seen by was so kind and made me feel right at home. She walked me through which tests my insurance covered and made sure I was comfortable throughout the visit. She made it the best experience I can remember having at any Quest.

My 15 year old daughter was having blood drawn. I couldn't even see her vein so I suggested maybe we look at her other arm that was in her sweatshirt. The phlebotomist ignored me and kept instructing my daughter to squeeze, etc. Then she did not get blood so she continued to move the needle around until she got blood. I'm Not saying what followed wouldn't have happened if she did things differently, but it may have been a faster blood draw. Soooo While the 2nd tube was filling with blood my daughter's eyes were rolling and she was shaking. I thought she was having a seizure. Then she passed out. It seemed like forever. I was calling her name, etc and asking the lady if she thought this was a seizure? She kept saying "she's fine, it's cause she didn't eat" My daughter rarely eats breakfast so I felt it wasn't that and I never saw this happen to her before. When my daughter began coming around and the lady kept asking me if I had water? I didn't so she went to get her a glass. Then she kept asking if I had food? She asked me a few times and I actually felt incompetent as a mother until later when I thought about it... why would I carry water and food? I truly believe Quest should have a supply available for cases like this. I'm sure it's not the 1st time it's happened in there considering how unconcerned the staff was. When she stood up, she was faint again so I sat her down again. I felt the women was more concerned about us leaving so she could get to the next person than showing any kindness.
The last time I went to a Quest was in West Haven where the staff there was actually in a screaming match with another patient. Guess what I realized later. We don't have to go to Quest. We can ask our Drs to us to other places to get blood work, this was def my last time.

The phlebotomist was extremely nice and patient. She made the process smooth and easy.

I would suggest going elsewhere. The worst place ever .its mainly the chick who is there. She has a major attitude issue two older ladies ask for assistance because they are not computer savvy and she ignores them and slams the door in the ladies fface.she really needs to learn manners

This place is horrible. My mom who is 89 yrs old, had to go for an urine specimen. She went in as a walk in, because she didn’t have an appointment. she waiting for a while, My son questioned the person that was there for assistance on having my mom attended. He had the door closed on his face. NO SERVICE PROVIDED was rendered. What kind of people are working in these places? This is ridiculous!!!!!

I had gone to the location at 136 Sherman Ave. (3/5/24, as a walk-in) to see a room of people and a floor tablet. I was surprised there isn't a receptionist. There is a 30-60 minute wait. I decline the wait seeing the location opens at 6:30am. I came back (3/6/24) at 7:10am and was immediately taken in, blood drawn by a very pleasant young lady, and sent on my way. Get there early.

Came in as a walk in and “systems were down” aka they didn’t want to take anyone close to 4 because they were closing. Quest has really declined in service and I wish I did not have to go to them for labs…

This was my first visit in two years. I had not made a reservation. BIG mistake. They take walk ins after anyone with an appointment, even if they arrive after you. The site I went to had only one person working the first shift. Two would have been more appropriate. There were enough clients to keep both busy and it would have been far more respectful of the clients. As far as the person who drew the blood was concerned, she inserted the needle so as to allow a considerable amount of blood to infiltrate my arm. That almost never happens as my veins are easy to access. I would not recommend the site I visited.

Had to make appointment 20 miles from home at 12:40pm which was the earliest appointment available. I have to fast so early appointments are necessary. Got all the way to Sherman Ave in New Haven (saw meth heads in the area = unsafe) and there was a handwritten sign on the door saying they would be back after 1:00 for appointments. I’ll be back at work and very hungry by then. I should have read the reviews first! Quest is awful!!
