Armada Brewing
190 River St, New HavenI had an amazing opportunity to cater a wedding of two great friends at The Brewery. I don't have enough great things to say about the place. The building and its grounds are amazing, the brewery its self is gorgeous. Attention to detail is above par in all aspects. The Brewery room and tap room one of the best i've seen. The upstairs in sophisticated and approachable. The husband and wife owners are wonderful and they way they attend to their guests and bar none. I highly recommend this place. You won't be disappointed and their beer is AWESOME

Union League Cafe
1032 Chapel St, New HavenI had the pleasure of dining here last night, which I have frequented for over 20 years. However, this time I opted for the chef's tasting menu for the first time, and it exceeded all my expectations. The two appetizers were beautifully presented, with exquisite flavors that set the tone for the meal. The entrées were even more impressive, showcasing the chef's remarkable skill and attention to detail. To top it off, the two desserts were simply sublime, perfectly capping an unforgettable culinary experience. The restaurant's impeccable service, as always, was a standout. The staff's warmth and professionalism never fail to impress. A special mention goes to the wine expert, whose knowledge of French wines was exceptional. The wine selections perfectly complemented our dishes, enhancing the overall dining experience. I cannot recommend the tasting menu enough (but they said they only serve this special menu on Tue/Wed/Thu not during the weekend), and I will undoubtedly return with my family to share this magical experience. While this visit was for a business meeting, it only reinforced why Union League remains the best in town. If you're seeking an authentic French cuisine experience, this is the place to go. Also, if you are planning to have tasting menu, you should reserve it before you go (a day before) - though we did not do so last night, but we were lucky and the chef kindly offered it last night!!

Tacos Los Michoacanos
351 Long Wharf Dr, New HavenI got the birria, carne asada flautas, and tacos al pastor. Al pastor tacos are the best in long wharf!!! Flautas were also good, but the birria and the consome was underwhelming (no chunks of meat and pretty bland). Salsa was good but definitely could be a lot more spicier. Will come back for the tacos!!!

One6Three
163 Foster St, New Haven8.3 on the zah, travel worthy.
Classic NH crust profile, lighty and airy, with the toppings all the way up and maintaining thinness to the edge. I think it could have been a little crispier on the undercarriage, but always a great pizza. I think this can go head to head with any pizza. Fresh ingredients and great taste.
Don't be afraid to dine in. A wonderful neighborhood to relax in

Siena Ristorante New Haven
9 High St, New HavenVisited here for a friend's birthday celebration and enjoyed some tasty food. The complimentary focaccia was exemplary - I could have easily eaten this for days (and given the menu prices, I wish I had! We also ordered some polenta fries to munch on while we waited for a final member of our party which were flavorful. I ordered the white wine special which hit the spot.My dining companions ordered cocktails, both alcoholic and not, both of which gave me drink envy! Every member of our party cleared their plates, which is the sign of good food. I ordered the Honeynut Squash Ravioli which was delicious, though not sure the portion was worth the cost. The dessert menu was well rounded but our waitress (who was super friendly and attentive throughout our meal!) offered a perfect recommendation in the tiramisu. The tableside prep was something I have never encouraged before but it was fun. I also tried the olive oil cake we ordered for the birthday girl, which was moist and flavorful. The restaurant definitely felt like a hotel restaurant, and the prices reflect upselling to the visitors, so the ambiance is nothing special.
