Very easy to navigate. They have trains and a bus line. Two dunkin donuts and a sbarro and a subway (sandwich not train) what more do you need. Easy hour via CT rails to get to Hartford

Union station is fine as major mid size city train station goes. It's clean enough and not seedy or anything, but certainly doesn't stack up against an equal sized Japanese train station or a larger city huh station like GCT. But it does have the aesthetic and vibe of a mini GCT if I had to describe it. Track access is easy, displays of track and time info are fine. Drop off area is okay, when it's not crowded with cabs/busses, but I've never like the parking options here, so if I have had to drive to a station myself, I would rather leave my car at another metro north or shoreline east station in a smaller nicer town than New Haven, rather than deal with Union Station.
