I was in the store today and purchased a necklace. Upon returning home and taking it out of tissue paper saw that the necklace and shells on it were discolored. I immediately called the store and wanted a replacement but was told they didn’t have another one and I could only receive store credit instead of a refund. I was told by the manager if she had noticed it was discolored before she sold it to us she never would have sold it. She said store policy is only store credit which normally I would understand however the $55 necklace was defective. I could not believe how an exception couldn’t be made given the necklace was discolored which was not visible with the store lighting. SUCH BAD BUSINESS!!!!

I am OBSESSED with this place! There is something exciting to find everywhere you look. I visit New Haven annually and always set aside at least an hour to visit Lou Lou because it takes several laps around the store before I even see everything. I get tons of compliments on the accessories I buy there and it’s always a really pleasant place to shop. Kira, the manager, is helpful and attentive. It is one of my most favorite shopping destinations and I look forward to it far in advance. The prices are affordable, the pieces are long-lasting and there are styles for every taste. My only complaint is that their website is not updated enough so I can buy from them even when I am far from New Haven!! I could not recommend Lou Lou in New Haven highly enough!! It is a MUST visit destination when in New Haven.

The staff person today was naturally friendly and guided a bored husband to the comfortable bright green couch about three quarters of the way back in the store. I am definitely not their demographic, however my wife and daughter enjoyed the shop and my feet appreciated the rest. Check out their coasters too for sale. An inexpensive gift idea.

Lou Lou Boutiques has quite an array of jewelry, fashionable accessories, knickknacks, etc. I have made several purchases and have enjoyed all the items including those that I gifted to loved ones; nice options, polite staff, great savings with the student discount, nice packaging when requested, a bit pricey depending on what you purchase but, overall a good experience!!

I purchased a beautiful leather bag that is good quality, I'm so happy with it plus the beautiful pants that are so flattering and a beautiful winter wool sweater. Salesman was friendly as well and very helpful finding my new tote!!!
