The 3 stars are a mark down for the dining experience. Compared to other ikeas, the dining room felt pretty empty for a Saturday, when it should be pretty busy. The peas looked sad and mushy, different colors. The salmon salad had weird end bits and was much smaller portion than elsewhere. The veggie medallions looked just to be microwaved and not cooked, very pale. Just disappointing. No option for hot tea. Dining area just seemed kind of sad. Maybe it's the management? Would not eat there again. Otherwise pretty standard.

Most horrible shopping experience. Am waiting since 1h for a simple return and still haven’t been called. Queues everywhere. Never, never again!

Horrible staff…Pedro so called manager specifically. Pedro came over to address a marketing issue with a price for a bed frame and had so much sass to start off! He was very rude and condescending and acted as if he wanted to question my intelligence by asking me obvious questions. He did not work out my problem and chose to call security instead of assisting with their floor plan marketing problem. Gary “manager” was called and still could not resolve or address the issue. In addition to this, when we asked about the price to Wendy and Monet at first she puckered her lip and had an attitude and didn’t want to help until the manager got there 30 mins later and she had a big smile on her face. They are lazy and rude and disgusting staff. Do not shop here there’s no point zero starssssssssss!!!!

Good store, but quite possibly the worst return process around. Is it 1980? You can't look up a receipt with a credit card?

I haven't been to Ikea since prior to the pandemic. It felt like home going back. Still loaded with interesting products for the home. Friendly and helpful staff.... and can't resist the hot cinnamon bun. ?

Service at the 2nd-floor cafe was kind and competent. Mustard dill sauce and sparkling raspberry juice are pretty fantastic. Mac and cheese and plant-based meatballs were served cold so maybe ask them to heat it up a bit more. Cinnamon buns were also stale. Disappointed in the lack of options for twin fitted sheets and the sad plant offerings. Otherwise, great rainy Sunday option for an antsy tot!

Everything is all good, but be aware of using the home delivery service after shopping in-store. Some employees will be able to offer you the standard shipping, while some will offer only the very expensive one-day shipping option. We went there to find out what cost 59 bucks before was now 97 bucks. They said they changed the delivery company this past summer, and the price has been increased. And very unfortunately, they do not have any email address or phone numbers to contact their delivery service (called "Lugg", third party they said)... Anyway, we returned the products and bought the same products from IKEA online website. That shipping cost $0. If my items were less than $50, it is $49 for standard delivery (for my items and location, at least). Writing this in the hope of saving someone from a ridiculously high shipping fee..... Have fun shopping! ?

Great place. I always have to drive about 45 minutes however, it is so worth it. The service here is always great. Everyone is so willing to help when you need help. They have a very large selection with several things you can purchase. Sometimes it's a bit overwhelming so my best advice is to go with a mission. You can get lost going window shopping. They have great value on their products. I would definitely always go back to find new things I probably missed.

Love this Ikea! Organized and easy to navigate. The staff are very friendly and helpful.I wish there were more options for decor that do not require you to make holes in the wall.I loved that for most of the products there were affordable options and more expensive.

When the IKEA furniture store in New Haven first opened in 2004, I found the prices to be affordable although the sub standard quality was rather minimal. It was a good place for college students and for furnishing rentals. Since then, I learned that after 70 years of offering a print catalog and an online catalog, neither one is currently available. There was plenty of parking available so I decided to take a walk through in person. They do still sell a variety of furniture, home decor, and lighting accessories. The store was well stocked and the checkout lines were very short. It may be unfortunately due to the fact that the third rate quality has changed significantly even for their simplest decor. I had plans to meet a friend for lunch, so I did not have time to check out their Scandinavian cuisine. However, the food did smell very good.
