Yea…I wouldn’t let anyone in this shop touch me with any type of needle. The woman running the shop has the most bizarre attitude I’ve ever seen. Go elsewhere,

Got a third lobe piercing here in January of 2020 and it has only begun to feel healed in the last few months. The pain was so bad that I nearly passed out. Both of my friends, pierced the same day by the same person, had similarly painful experiences and elongated healing time. I got a nose piercing today at a place in Hartford and the contrast was unbelievable—so professional and clean, way less pain. Go somewhere reputable, even if it requires a longer drive.

HEALTH RISK WARNING: Piercer wore surgical gloves yet touched drawers, furniture, and equipment before piercing my ear. She used the gun, then touched my ear and fumbled to to get the back on, I asked her to stop, she said she's almost done.... 2 weeks later after dealing with increased pain, I took the earring out, and the lobe was 3 times the size of my other ear, bright red, painful, and I have a lump in my neck below the ear that is tender and very painful. Very scary. I had to go to Hartford Healthcare Urgent Care yesterday, who said I could have MRSA, and prescribed a strong antibiotic and topical medication. This shop NEEDS to up their safety and hygiene protocols and understand that the surgical gloves are a carrier of deadly bacteria. I have never left a bad review for anyone, but now that my health is at risk with an infection spreading down my neck, it is my duty to share my experience.

My spouse went in two weeks ago to get her ear pierced. She doesn’t want to leave a review, so I will. She was complaining of pain since the piercing, and had to go to the walk-in clinic today to get her ear looked at. It was highly infected and 50% larger than her other ear. The MD put her on antibiotics and gave her a topical, warning it could be MRSA. My wife said the piercer was wearing gloves yet touching everything with the gloves on. After the piercer used the gun on my wife’s ear, she decided to put the 2nd earring of the pair in her pre-existing second hole, which already had an earring in it… The cramming of a second rod into the piercing caused the piercer to fumble around while her contaminated plastic gloves were rubbing all over my wife’s ears. I am worried for my spouse’s health. Hopefully the multiple bad piercing reviews will be impetus to establish proper hygiene protocols.Services: Ear piercing

So I went to this place 3 times the first time was with my friend who is of Hispanic background I felt a bad vide but chose to ignore it because I thought that it was just me because the lady seemed nice that day the second time I went because my nose ring came out And my hole close a little bit so I know she told My friend and I that if the nose hole closed that we would be able to get it reopened for free so I went there just for that, no greeting same bad vibe glooming she told me with an Attitude that she didn’t have any sterile objects so she’s not gonna do it basically and I’m looking at her like this is a whole tattoo parlor the does Piercings if anybody walk in from the street just to get that then why don’t you have any Sterile objects? She did want to do it for me so I've been going through a lot and I chose to let Bygones be bygones and go to Evolution again because it’s closest to my house but this time something told me to call I called she answered the phone and she seem so nice and sweet on the same kind of like nice and sweet that I got the first time with my Hispanic friend there with me But as soon as I walked in the door I felt the same exact vibe her face was rockhard no smile no greeting not even from the two men standing with her like why are you here I told her I already called she made me explain it again and she still was even more upset She told me she didn't feel comfortable Piercing my nose let me not forget that The first piercing was $45 and just to get my whole re-opened she was trying to charge me $50 for that. I've never experienced racism from a Hispanic person in my life Lady grow up .And for all the people there stating that they didn’t experience any racism from her just take a look at the difference of the names you’ll see that most people are black . I experience racism from her and it was a horrible feeling. Not going to write anymore but I will pray for her ??

Got my nose pierced there. I don't understand the bad reviews. Everyone was super friendly, the woman who pierced me opened up all the tools right in front of me and I was in and out in 15 minutes with no appointment. I 100 percent will be back and recommend anyone looking.

I've only had great experiences with the tattoo artists here! I've been a couple times and have sent my friends. I got my third ear piercings done here a couple of years ago and they never healed, so I wouldn't reccommend going for piercings. Tattoos are very good, though.

Truly disappointed, and this isn’t my first time at Evolutions! My girlfriend made an appointment back in March for a septum piercing in May. We get to the shop, it’s relatively empty for a Saturday afternoon, and the gal at the front desk looks at us puzzled. The piercer comes in, takes one look at my girlfriend, and says “No, we don’t do septums until June”. Mind you, this same piercer scheduled my girlfriend‘s appointment months prior. You win some, you lose some, but definitely not going back and don’t recommend.Service: Piercings

I went because I had to have my nose ring out for an MRI scan 3 hours prior. All I wanted was for them to put it back in as I was having trouble doing so myself. I've had this piercing for 5 years and have changed it a few times with no issues (from other locations). I have NO idea wtf this woman did, but she used a long thing that looked like a needle in it before chasing it with the ring and its over 24 hours later and my nose is still swollen and sore. There was 0 reason for that. I have never had a nose ring reinserted like that. Honestly wish I read the reviews first. There are so many discussing how horrible the piercer is and someone else apparently had a similar problem with jewelry reinsertion.
