I went in (I'm a black woman and was with my black husband- we were the only people in the store as it was near closing time) and the owner followed me around asking if I lost something, mentioning loudly to her worker that she has cameras and that she prosecutes thieves - they were not having this conversation prior to this; they were talking about a piece of clothing). I confronted her and asked if she had a problem. She became very visably upset and accused me of "acting out " and being "angry" when I was nothing but calm. Then she stated that "your kind" of people steal from her often. I was so disgusted and shocked. My husband has it on camera. I'd never go there if you are a poc or support poc!! Thank you.

A beautiful store filled with all sorts of memorabilia, appliances, clothing, media, and more from the 20th Century and sometimes other older stuff! Walking into this store is like walking into a time capsule; There is so much to find you could get lost for hours trying to spot everything! The merchandise is well taken care of, despite the sheer amount of merchandise the store is easily navigable and open, and the staff are polite, courteous, and knowledgeable about many of the wares' history!Overall, even if it's just to immerse yourself in the beauty of the past, this store is worth stopping into! Everything is fairly priced, and there's a clearance rack that pops up from time to time!

Cool selection of antique and vintage items! Found some adorable MCM vases that I couldn't pass up. Plants were a bit pricey but it's a city so that may be expected. All in all, I'll definitely come back next time I'm in New Haven!

So happy I was able to visit this shop while visiting from NYC. It’s a gem of a vintage shop. The store itself is beautiful and even sells greenery which makes the store extra special. Fantastic finds and wonderful service. Will be sure to visit again next time I’m in town.
