Very clean and friendly. Love Wednesdays when they have food pantry and soup kitchen with services to help the less fortunate.

It's a great atmosphere and you don't know how much goes on behind the scenes all are friendly both giver's of there time and those that benefit from there time sorry it took sad thing in my life to bring me through these doors to plan on trying to here ?

Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen serves people experiencing homelessness or living in poverty by providing food assistance and services that promote health, community, and equity. Each year, our incredible corps of over 1,500 volunteers works with over 2, 300 men, women, and children in need. We provide a nightly meal, a weekly food pantry, and summer mobile pantry for school-age children. With over 30 years of experience in downtown New Haven, DESK relies on best-practices, innovative strategies, and an unwavering commitment to those we serve to achieve our goals of improving health, financial stability, and overall well-being. Our vision is a world in which our guests come to us not because they HAVE to, but because the WANT to.
