Extremely comfortable and vibey cafe. A must go for anyone who just wants excellent, and extremely affordable coffee and bagels. Free water is provided and the staff were extremely friendly. Theres are tonnes of books on the shelves as well for you to browse through.

Make sure to come here every time I'm in New Haven. Food and customer service is always great. The last time I went the person who took the order/made the coffee seemed visibly strung out on drugs. Eyes weren't open, inaudible, having trouble even standing. Felt extremely uncomfortable, and was afraid to even have my coffee.Disappointed none of the other employees or a manager intervened.

Delicious food & coffee, surrounded by cool books & music. The essentials in one convenient location. I found an immaculate 1st edition of a book on my wishlist at a reasonable price. The patio is a great place to sit, read, chat - saw many friends gathering just having a great time.

Lots of old books. Indoor and outdoor seating. Eggs and cheese on bagel pretty standard. Good bagel. Coffee was outstanding. Pretty good seaweed salad in the cooler. Cute. I would go back.

The Tempesto sandwich is so good I feel like hope is possible.Also screw the other reviews talking about the staff being rude. Staff here are wonderful and just because they aren’t sycophants doesn’t mean they are rude. Never had a bad experience in the 13 year I’ve been coming here

Absolutely loved this place. It was very busy and lively and felt really nice sipping coffee in the middle of alot of books. Kind of a library with not so much of silence ?... Students studying, working around...felt really nice.. they have a few vegetarian options which are good!

This is the perfect place to get a coffee or with a breakfast sandwich. I got the bacon egg and cheese with a hot Chai and wasn’t disappointed. My chai was frothy and my bacon egg and cheese was very delicious and felt like there was though put into the meal. It was very busy the day I went but they still managed to be calm and I didn’t wait any longer than 10 minutes.

What a great coffee shop in New Haven! My friends and I worked here for a couple of hours on homework and the atmosphere was so calming yet productive. All the food and drinks we got were amazing and were good prices as well. Would definitely recommend checking out for anyone visiting New Haven!
