I have been living at 220 Fountain St. Apartments for about 2 years now and I must say it is the absolute worst run apartment building I've ever lived in. The staff in the rental office will promise to do anything to get you to leave the office so they can get back to their phones. There is nowhere to park so they want to charge $90 a month to park in a carport, with no protection. May car has been broken into, twice. When contacting the front office to see what is being done, no response. Some residents allow their dogs to defecate in the elevators and hallways. If this happens on a Friday, it will remain until Monday. There is community room where young people, who I believe don't live in the building use to have sex and take over the TV to play video games. There are birds living in the vent in my bathroom, that I have been complaining about since moving there. The response I received was, "we can't kill the birds." I never asked to kill anything, I just don't want to be awaken in the middle of the night by angry birds. Lastly, I was there 1 year, when the following year the rent increased by $150, with no explanation. There is always a problem with the water, and they want to charge a $500 fine, if your music is too loud, and as a veteran of the Army I was never asked was I a veteran and was never offered the military discount, as have other veterans. My lease is up in August, I will not be renewing. Thank You.

Several problems with the new apt rented 12/8/23! It is now 1/29/24 ! Several leaks reported on 2 separate occasions; Wet in the bedroom again. Heating that does not fully work: 2nd bedroom floor clearly has long history of leaks onto it, with tiles buckling underneath the carpet; carpet placed over as if floor was ok, concealing the problem. This bedroom is not usable.Floor needs to be fully replaced. and leaking addressed fully.Repairs have not been fully addressed in the 15 days since reported. Would appreciate a date for floor repair and replacement. In the meantime, I cannot use my 2nd bedroom and thus am not really renting the 2 bedroom apt on my lease. Would appreciate repair, and compensation for this problem.

In the past I’ve had issues with unprofessional maintenance workers. This ended when we got a new maintenance worker, James. He has been extremely professional and efficient helping the people I live with feel more comfortable when I can’t be around.

I am in the process of applying for an apartment. The online application process is somewhat cumbersome and assumes you fit in a certain category. Such as, it assumes, you are currently renting an apartment, and since it has a red Asterix, you have to answer several questions with a response that does not apply. When I attempt to call and talk to a human to resolve my questions , I get stuck in this eternal wait loop. Messages don’t get answered. This is making a stressful process more stressful. I hope that this is due to a temporary issue.

I've been living here for 2 years. Ever since management has changed there has been major improvements in the building. Management is always engaging with the tenants and constantly having events for us, which includes movie night, various holiday get togethers.I will say this management has been very helpful and does their very best to makes sure repairs are done as quickly as possible.

Forgive me for my emotional review but I'm just so warm delighted and I just wanna cry so much this seems to me the greatest thing I can do in this moment share my enthusiasm with the world. Jamie and Abe are just great I truly love being here in thus moment in my life. Nothings perfect in life every situation has its pros and cons. But they work with you and it's a sense of community and belonging here. They try...truly they do we get these wonderful get together and parties (that I was pleased able to just be apart of). I got to meet some great people tonight community, great hearts, it's what Its about!

My overall experience has been positive. The management has been responsive to my concerns. They have also done a good job of creating a sense of community in this complex. I like the fact that I live near everything. Stop and shop, CVS and gas stations!! and that my apartment is located in an area I can walk in. - From a verified resident on Apartment Ratings .

I went to look at an apartment - Abe & Jaime were friendly from the moment I walked in. Abe gave me a tour, showing me all the amenities. The apartment was empty and very clean. I didn't feel rushed and all my questions were answered. It was a very good experience.

I moved here from out of state and was unable to view the property before leasing and so I only had these reviews and virtual tours to inform me so I am trying to assist others by offering my rental experience over the last 6 months. These buildings are very outdated and are in need of serious renovations. I had just moved from a building that was decades older and in excellent condition because it actually had regular preventative maintenance such as changing air filters and checking fire safety equipment which I have seen no evidence of here. So their favorite excuse for everything that doesn’t work because it’s an old building doesn’t hold up for me.Some of my most frustrating issues here: there is no A/C only “air movers” of which I only have one working satisfactorily in my apartment. I had to request a temporary portable A/C unit to use that can only cool up to 400 sq ft of my 2 bd rm apt. So it usually stays around 80 degrees on hot days and 75 on cool days while simultaneously jacking up my electric bill an extra $150. And I’m lucky. Other residents just accept that their apts are hot and don’t request the portable A/C or purchase their own. Our windows are also not universal size so we cannot install A/Cs without modifications.Plumbing was also so poorly designed so that my shower drains very slow. This causes stagnant water to build up and cause drain flies and worms to constantly infest my apartment during the warm months. There seems to be no solution to this. I am under constant assault from drain flies no matter how many times the drain is cleared or pesticide is applied.Closet doors hang. Floors are uneven and feel like your leg may fall through. And this may feel the worse: the residents have absolutely no accountability for their actions. Residents regularly throw their trash in the hallways, elevators, parking lots, and outside the dumpster. This attracts wildlife and even kills them through feeding them bad things. People throw things in the dog park. I’ve had to pull bones out of my dogs throat.People use their balconies as a trash chute. I have even found people throwing used diapers (just look outside my widow on the roof!) and menstrual products out their balconies. People have even thrown trash, including glass bottles at neighbors cars. Also, management has known about a resident who keeps a dog on their balcony 24/7 and never lets it out and washes its waste multiple times a day down on to their neighbors balconies and has allowed this cruelty to happen while the neighbors just have to accept that their balconies will have dog waste rained down on it multiple times a day. I’m just not allowed to use my balcony, I guess. That fifth floor neighbor now has claim to all balconies below it.I look forward to the day when my lease is up and I can move to a place where residents’ health and safety are respected.

I been living in 200 fountain homes for the last 8 months since I moved in my apartment has had a series of problems my ceiling been leaking since January, and they take months to come and look at and they just paint over it without fixing the problem, and now the ceiling is yellow and leaking when it rains I’m adding both pictures before they painted over it and now when it started leaking again they ignored my work order My bathroom has missing tiles which I had reported when I moved in still has not been replaced the fridge they gave me had a crack in it and my stove has this smoke smell coming out and they won’t change it .I have taken multiple pictures and spoke with the building manager nothing is being done. My apartment is at 90 degrees and rising there to lazy to pay to have fixed the right way I live a studio apartment and I have asthma and the heat is intolerable if I can give them a zero I would. My closet doors don’t close or they get stuck they let me move in like this. Only one elevator is working in my building and the other one look like is about to break down. I’m going to have to call the health department and 211
