Love this small town USPS. The staff is very nice and efficient and give me my receipt every time without asking! I noticed that many of the 1 star ratings are actually the fault of the Winsted branch and not this one.

Lady at the front counter said she “couldn’t spend anymore time to help me”Put the wrong shipping label on the item I shipped out and then said they will just charge your account again for the right amount.Very poor service. I don’t think I was in there longer than 5 minutes and I took 5 minutes out of my day to write this review. It was almost comedy when she said she didn’t have the time to help me anymore.

My friend doesn't get residential USPS delivery and since there is often no way to determine how an item is being shipped, New Hartford returns packages as undeliverable. Regardless of the fact he has had to go down there multiple times to stop the package from being returned, New Hartford knows his physical address and his post office box but refuses to call him or transfer it to his post office. Often he has been told they don't have the package so he leaves his info and the tracking number. Then minutes later they preceded to return to seller. What is wrong with this branch? Winsted is always so nice about it and if he catches it before it goes to New Hartford, they always help. New Hartford just yells at him telling him he screwed up and then lies and sends the package back to seller.... I wonder if they are doing this on purpose?! Who does he have to report them to to solve this ridiculously constant issue?

Best Post office in Litchfield County! They've never lost a package that I mailed in over 15 years of shipping ebay from here

Just had a great experience at this post office. We are not from the area and needed to ship a few things back home that would not fit into our luggage. The staff person was very helpful in getting us the best rate, and let us use their packaging tape. Despite that there were a few people there, it was an efficient process.

I've been a resident of new Hartford for 26 years. Born and raised there. Every single time i go in to this specific post office there is an issue. The workers are beyond rude there. None of them should have jobs doing what they do. They are incompetent and could careless about the residents of new Hartford. It is a disgrace to new Hartford.
