“This store is my favorite one in the entire Farmington Valley. The clothing is high quality and reflects many wonderful activities that are popular in New England such as hiking, walking through forests, fly fishing, horseback riding and dressing nicely for professional but casual work days, no matter what your job may be. The service is friendly, personal and impeccable. I treasure every article of clothing that I have purchased or that has been gifted ti me and my family on special occasions such as Christmas, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day and of course birthdays! We’ve been shopping here for twenty years and are so grateful to Ed and his team that have made us feel like family every time we come in. The dogs toys and items are also fantastic for our pups. Thank you Orvis for providing our Connectucut river valley with quality and style!”

“It's been a lonnnnng time since I've done some "recreational" shopping. But Athleta of Avon was worth the trip. They carry a wide range of sizes, have really great staff, and were so pleasant. I was in and out. My first Athleta purchase and it won't be my last.”

“Adorable store on Main Street in Winsted. It's a furniture store on one side, selling upcycled and new furniture as well as home decor, including some really great seasonal items. On the other side they have clothing. If you go to their website, they have events like fashion shows that you can attend.”

“I haven’t shopped at the Gap in years; I thought their clothing quality had gone downhill. However, my friend from church, Monica, works there, and when we were having dinner a few Sundays ago, she told me I should stop by. I have to say, and I was thoroughly impressed. I bought two pairs of jeans and a few other things. “Today 7/12/2025 ,my first day going there, and I loved it, I am 51 years old and didn’t feel out of place,they treated me with respect and tried to help in everything that I needed ,everyone was very nice and helpful,they were not racist ,I been to other boutiques in different states and once they hear me talking in Spanish they would give me the cold shoulder (NOT THIS STORE ) this store is awesome and the people working there phenomenal ,this will be one of my favorite stores to go to now,will be back soon and will definitely recommend it to everyone else I know!!”
“I love this store , not clutter , good prices . I usually have the sales girl Alexis, she is always so kind and eager to help me look for clothes and helps me match the style. Last time I was in I was in shock to hear the manager Sandra yelling at the girls, I try not to shop when she’s in , since she had yelled at my kids and was rude.”
“Bobs closed but they will be reopening in the same plaza a few stores down! Looks like it will be a smaller store. But this might be better, as the previous store seemed kinda unnecessarily big, with not that much selection. I'm guessing the rents in this plaza are pretty high as there are a few other closings and vacant stores.”

“Picked up a bag from these guys when we visited their store, and it’s incredible! One of the team members gave us a tour of the shop, which was really cool, and shared some great recommendations for the area. The gear is top-notch quality—I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in town!”
