Thank you Claudia for helping my cat Chan saids hi she is 13 years old and is extremely healthy and happy I pay private health insurance if she so much as even sneezes she goes to her vet for an exam paid for by her wellness plan senior paws she going to get her teeth cleaned soon for the first time it's my father in law Dr Francis coughlin supported strays and other financially he is the one who introduced me to miss Weber God bless the kitties

Exceptional organization! Strays and Others truly cares about finding good homes and an enviable record of placing rescued animals. This small organization is highly efficient thanks to its staff and volunteers. Don't know how they accomplish so much. So appreciative that when my dog died few years ago, they took time to learn what was best for me/new dog.Other places didn't care that much. Their extra effort helped ensure a happy dog/me plus a Strays and Others fan. They've been around for decades-testament to their devotion to animals and care. Whether you're donating, volunteering or rescuing-Strays and Others is terrific.

My husband and i adopted two wonderful cats from strays and others though we had just agreed to foster, then fell in love. Out of the many nonprofits out there this is one of the most deserving of a 5 star rating in all regards! They are wonderful!

Worst rescue organization I’ve ever fostered for. Terrible organization. Was lied to about pretty much everything throughout the entire process. Please give your money to an agency who actually is dedicated to helping animals. It’s not this one.

Wonderful and caring rescue group. All animals are in loving, charismatic hands. I am so thankful to see a rescue group take so much consideration into their adoption process and make sure every cat is rehomed in the safest, and best environment. Claudia is very knowledgeable and so kind- if you are in search for a cat, Strays and Others will make sure you find a perfect fit.

Heard about this shelter from my dental hygienist. What a great place! Cats are happy and well cared for and live together in an open environment. No cages!!Organization places animals in lower Fairfield County. Volunteers are so kind - true animal lovers!If you too are an animal lover and want to adopt, or volunteer your time - I would highly recommend working with this organization. As one of the oldest animal rescues in Fairfield county, they know what they are doing!

Great experience. Knowledgable, friendly, and compassionate people with animals who are well cared for and looked after.I question the intentions of some of these negative reviews. There are mandatory protocols shelters are supposed to follow to ensure the animal will be placed in a safe environment. Perhaps certain individuals just aren't used to being told no...If you live in the area and are considering adoption, this is a wonderful place.
