I started coming here in Middle School, this is my go-to everyday jewelry wear store. They have all the new in style looks, it does get busy here. Consider visiting during the week. They have great deals on watches around the holidays.... Truly, I don't know where I'd go if this place did not exist.

This seems like the most "New Canaan chic" situation, but I have to share it for fun: I was going to a wedding in Brooklyn, and on my way I realized I had forgotten my grandmother's dangly earrings. So I stopped into Pennyweights, in my full out evening gown attire, and asked them if they happened to have any dangle earrings that go with "this dress," and motioned to the getup I was wearing. Hahaha! A woman named Emma helped me, and was so kind, and saved the day to get me a lovely pair that matched my outfit. Thank you for completing my outfit in a bind, Penmyweights, and thank you to Emma! Cheers!!

I visited about two weeks ago looking for a specific ring. I found a ring I liked, but it was too big so I had it resized (this resizing process was done with another "similar" ring, not a ring sizer). A week later the ring was ready so I went back. Not only was the ring still too big (I was told my fingers "swell" when its hot out so that could explain the difference...), but the band of the ring where the main stone was, was bent. Looking at the ring head on and from above, there was a clear distortion in the band that was not there when I bought it.I was initially going to get it resized again, trying to dismiss the bend because I wanted the ring, so I put my order in and left the ring there. The next day though, I had a change of heart because I knew that the bend in the ring was a result of a sloppy resizing. I called the business, asking to cancel the second resizing and inquired about a potential return or refund of the ring. I did receive a refund for the second resizing, but was then told that because the ring was altered, it was not returnable, and did not even warrant store credit. When I told them about the bend, they told me they couldn't see it, but it was obvious to me and quite problematic, given I paid for a ring with no bends in it.I told them to keep the ring because I was not happy with it, and it was not what I bought. They had no problem taking my money despite the fact I was not pleased. I will not be a returning customer.

By the way Geoff, my name is Cyndi. It was not a matter of finding my receipt, it was a matter of having to drive far away to get the receipt as I received the necklace as a gift! To be told yes I recognize the necklace as my own and not let me purchase the next size up was very bad customer service! I wasn't asking for the money back! I will not be returning. And I have told as many people as I can, and will continue, to let people know about the bad customer service. Parking is a headache also.

Found this little gem just walking by and SO happy I did! Great selection of silver and great prices! Loved my purchase so much, I went back and purchased more! I didn't look at much more than just silver jewelry though. The service was EXCELLENT! Will be back when I visit the area again!

My absolute favorite jewelry store!! There is something for everyone here from trendy styles to unique finds. My first pair of earrings came from here 15 years ago and I will be a lifelong customer, even if it means driving hours to get there! The service is also great, everyone who works there is so sweet! I really couldn’t recommend this store more!!

You just can't go wrong with this place! There is no way that one can't find something to buy there, either for themselves or as a gift.The staff is pleasant for the most part, particularly...Geoff(?...maybe George?) who can easily make adjustments to various pieces and will work with you through other details.I recommend this business wholeheartedly!

Went in to buy some sterling silver rings and was very pleased with the selection and prices. I can only speak to their sterling silver rings, as I didn't get a chance to browse the whole store, but I was impressed by what I did see. It's surprisingly hard to find affordable casual jewelry that won't turn your finger green, so I'm very grateful I found Pennyweights.
