Such a pleasant experience with great, knowledgeable staff, Rob hall the owner is constantly on the floor helping customers, he also helped me with selecting, wrapping, packing, and shipping out all my holiday gifts, its a one stop shop, anything from fine Burgundy to craft beer.

Had a lovely dinner next door at South End... had a few glasses of wine. I walk to this store to get a bottle of Bordeaux wine for my buddy's birthday.... The guy refuses to sell it to me because he thinks I am inebriated. It's sad cause I was not to the point of being a mess and I'll never shop here again

Great local store, good selection, good advice when asked and can get pretty much anything you need! Pricing competitive with larger warehouses without the hassle of driving out of town.

I called at 3:00 today to place a large birthday (surprise) order for my friend's 40th. I've never been to New Canaan and just picked a wine shopped that delivered off google, and I must have gotten lucky. The gentleman who called took my name and number we discussed what wine my friend enjoys and then he told me he would call me back once they gathered some bottles. Within 15 minutes the wine shop had gathered 12 bottles for my friend, gave me a discount and it was delivered to her home by 4:30. New Canaan Wine Merchants made shopping from afar a real pleasure.

when it comes to customer service, this company needs a HUGE wake up call! I place on order on a given friday and then send three emails from then till the following Tuesday with no responses...?? so i then, call i get some guy on the phone who sounded like he was drinking telling me that my order was not available (which i needed for the weekend) and that he "thought someone emailed me?". GREAT WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS, I SAY If any need a place to buy great wine/ experience great customer service / great shipping prices / great selection....email me. i will tell you of company where i ordered from (same wine) that received my order that friday (same as new canaan wine merchants) and shipped Monday. oh yes, they emailed twice before that monday informing me that my order was received. That is GREAT SERVICE! New Canaan Wines......very SAD service

one star is too high. The owner is nasty and makes you feel like he is the king of wine. Only will talk if your buying for your cellar. Very poor customer service and talks down to everyone. High prices more wood than wine dont bother shopping this store.
