We had an amazing experience here. The people were wonderful & friendly (especially Santo) and they didn’t charge us for a minor repair. Would highly recommend!!

This place is top notch. I brought my Honda CRV in for a body repair from a pretty bad ding that had scratches and a good dent. Not only did they repair the dent and scratches, but you cannot find where the damage was, as if it never happened. On top of it, they vacuumed and washed the car like it was brought to a car wash. Last thing, the cost was the lowest we found in the area. I highly recommend this place. We traveled from Fairfield, because of the recommendations we got from friends.Service: Body & Trim

The most disrespectful, unprofessional people that I’ve ever met. They physically and verbally assault people and have no decency whatsoever

Didn’t inform me in writing that there is a daily storage fee and the work performed on the front wheel displaced and could have caused an accident.Services: Body & Trim

After getting in an accident, I used new canaan auto body to tow my Tesla. When the tow truck arrived I asked that the car be towed to my house in new canaan. After hearing Anthony tell me about their experience repairing Tesla’s while we were in the truck I agreed to have the car brought to Nc auto body. They said they would get back to me with an estimate the next day. A week went by and I did not hear anything. I called to see if they had an estimate and was told that Tesla won’t sell the shop the parts because they are not certified to work on Tesla. I told them I would come by to drop off a spare tire I keep In my garage for them to mount so I can drive the car to a different location that can work on the car. I called back three days later to follow up about the progress on the tire and they told me they can’t mount it and that having me bring it was a mistake. I asked Anthony why I have to pay storage after he held on to the car for 10 days just to tell me at the very end that they don’t work on Tesla’s. He Apologized but told me they would not release the car unless I paid. They also charged me labor to put the car on the lift and look at it knowing that they don’t fix Tesla’s.

Santo, Anthony and their staff have always been courteous, helpful and efficient in many repairs over 25+ years for our family, and extended family in town. Recently, they went far above & beyond for us when a car was hit while parked in town, for the third time in a few month period (none of the offenders was ethical enough to leave a note..). They did a fantastic job, in a very short time, with minimal charge to make it ready for lease return inspection. Can't thank them enough.

Had my car worked on 3 times, first 2 times were good, 3rd time was more of a challenge. Quality of work all 3 times was good. Make sure you get a written estimate before you bring car in & how long it will take. Last time it took longer and cost more. Because it ended up costing more, my insurance company had to write a 2nd check but Santo wasn't willing to wait for check from insurance company, I had to pay deductible, which I expected, plus added expense of repairs before I could get my car back. My insurance company sent out 1st check to his shop even before they started the work and the insurance company was fine with the added expense & willing to send out 2nd check the same day. My insurance co. was shocked that Santo was making me pay out of pocket for the repairs since all of us, the insurance co. (Which is huge company), the appraiser, and myself had all done business with him before, and the insurance company even contacted Santo asking him if he'd give me the car and that they'd send a check right out and he still said no. I only expected to pay deductible, I was surprised that I had to lay out cost of additional repair cost too. Thank goodness it was only hundreds and not thousands otherwise I wouldn't have been able to get my car... and who knows, maybe Santo would have charged me for storage if I couldn't pick up my car until he received insurance check. My insurance company sent the 2nd check out directly to me the same day as promised. It was added stress... it cost more, took longer & I tried to be accommodating, but the hard part was having to pay for repairs up front, when typically insurance company would have and was willing to pay to Santo's shop. Know what you are getting into before you leave your car... written estimate, how long it will take & will he be willing to wait for insurance check or will he make you pay up front.

Horrible work and customer service. After a few months after body and paint work I had it looked at and was informed of the subpar work done. Majority of the parts ordered for Remove & install were left in/on the vehicle leading to overspray of the paint and parts not being fit/lined up correctly. Customer service is deplorable I spoke to the owners son Anthony who tried to schmooz me with "come down it'll take 15 minutes we'll use chemicals to remove the overspray and I'll buy you a cup of coffee." A supplement estimate by another shop estimated a full days work. Been trying to resolve the issue for over a week with nothing more than being told Anthony has been given a message about my attempts to have work done properly.

Like many car owners I worry about being taken by dishonest mechanics so it was a relief when I had several good experiences with New Canaan Auto Body. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, the business has gone downhill. I have been verbally strong armed into having services performed on my car that, ultimately, were never done (or done so poorly that I needed to bring my car to another garage in order to correct the issue) and, most recently, I paid the garage a great deal of money to have a power steering pump replaced only to have said pump start to leak less than three months later. I like that they are conveniently located but I have little faith in their ability to do competent work at a fair price.

Price gouging. Charged me an extra day to get my car out. They expected me to pick up my car by illegal means one day prior. They said they didn't care. TRUMP signs throughout office.
