so I would give them a -15 rating if I could so we had fun behind on our bill there. They told me to for two weeks which is $100. No I always pay them on time I'm overpay them and I had wrote a yelp review not that long ago about my son sitting in feces for hours and hours and this happened on multiplications. Now they call my son a liar. They called me a liar all this and that so come forward to today. The lady says you're behind I said well I'm going through a hardship like the frame on my car broke this down the third she said write a hardship letter and don't worry about it. I said OK so she calls me back and she said well because you wrote a yelp review and it was negative towards us. We can't help you pay and you need to find your kids a new school like where my children are being punished because you guys let him sit in his own feces for hours on multiple occasions, and it's out there that your school is terrible. You don't even have legitimate teachers you they don't have no degrees they're terrible with the children your children sitting in feces for hours, not just it wasn't just my child and one or two incidences it's multiple of children , like the blaze is always nasty they and then they clean they have programs to help pay for the stuff and then as soon as they see something they don't like such as my yelp review they went and kicked my children out of school now do you think that's fair I definitely do not

This summer a staff member made kids do push up because they wasn’t behaving !!!! Then the lady gave her personal number to the kids an had a whole group chat .. staff unprofessional they will stop u mid hall way a tell u you owe money after seeing u all the week .. care for kids applications says they will provide snack they don’t give these kids nothing . I recently sign my kids for after school program lady tells me I’m all set tell me I have a credit then I go about my day it’s there job to make sure they get there paper work the failed to tell me an told me my kids where all set an the. Says my kids can’t go because I forgot a paper registration when they process the registration fee took the money make up excuses now my kids can’t go back. After 10 years of my kids going there I’ve been advocate telling them that a lot inappropriate things was happening a they have no control of the kids . My son was basically forced on some inappropriate stuff an staff doesn’t know when it happen how it happen they are not watching the kids !! An u can’t even talk to them there no understanding I will be reporting this to the city no kids should have to do push up when it’s 100 degree because they can’t control the kids worse place ever !!!!!

I worked here twice, not the best experience. Dealt with discrimination with no advocacy. Plus having no income currently being denied unemployment and penalized 6,000 dollars because someone thought it was a good idea to keep staff on payroll while collecting unemployment during covid. When I consulted with the director I was told "oh well, you decided to collect unemployment" for 32 hours I wasn't paid for.

I have a 3yr old that I signed up for dance and it’s the first activity that she has ever been signed up to and all the parents of the dancers were so eager and happy to see their children practice but they do not tell you when you sign up that you can not watch your child practice at all from outside the door nor do they provide a television to watch them from the waiting area like they do for the older gymnastic class. The class is only 4 weeks long and it would have been special to be able to watch them. So sad and total waste of money.

I love the New Britain Y! Iam the preschool coach (I support the teachers). It is a place where management and staff are committed to caring for children and supporting families, especially during Covid Pandemic. I am so proud to be a part of the Y Team. We always strive to deliver great service and care, we actively work together to find ways to improve, and we reflect together and support each other during difficult times. I am so thankful that I work with such compassionate people. I get a great sense of purpose working for the Y and I am thankful for the families I serve and all the teachers I work with.

Staff is very rude ! And they wont hesitate to send your child home for a so call fever of 99 degrees when in all reality that’s not a fever. Also I always pay for my child to not attend school on weeks they been sent home! The staff will scream in the lobby about your balance in the y so they can embarrass you. Parents do run in and out idk why a simple reminder is not implicated.

The girl, Latoya was her name I believe. Terrible. YWCA please put somebody that knows what they are doing and know the requirements in the front desk for the preschool enrollment. She was clueless & very rude.

The YWCA is a gem in the New Britain community. Their "no judgement" fitness zone includes a gym, classes and private training. They also offer youth sports, dance, theater, and summer camp! Dedicated teachers make the preschool and childcare classes unbeatable.
