“I recently used this location for what was a reception of my sister and my new in-laws after a beautiful wedding ceremony this decent size location was utilized by my family and friends for just as beautiful celebration the location is conveniently in downtown New Britain Connecticut right off the highway before they're enough away so there's not a lot of traffic. I like that is located near a few restaurants and fast food locations so if you run out of food or someone doesn't like the food being served you can go grab you something else to eat is also quite a few adult beverage stores in the area so people can BYOB! They have a nice size kitchen where we were able to keep the food fresh and hot and also to serve the guests. I had a great time dancing all over the place and had a good amount of space to do so I was very tired for the couple days afterwards. As I was not responsible for the event I do not know the pricing or the quality of the customer service. I just know that the hall was clean and had a lot of space to hold a large crowd of people. I would utilize this space again for future events for sure.”

Steely Dan, The Kinks, and Warren Zevon come to mind immediately. But that short list is incomplete if it doesn't include Talking Heads. For years I've read that their 1984 concert documentary "Stop Making Sense" was fantastic. IMDb says it "is considered by critics as the greatest concert film of all time". So a) when the film was re-released in a restored version to celebrate its 40th anniversary, and b) when I saw Real Art Ways scheduled week long screenings, well, I knew I'd be making my very first visit there. Tickets were ordered through their website, and that went super easy. There were seven showings available, and tickets were priced at $12 for an Adult, and $8 for Seniors and Students. After I ordered, the tickets were promptly e-mailed to me. When we arrived for the 5:15 show, we chatted with the attendant who was pretty friendly and cool. An afternoon showing of a Carlos Santana documentary was finishing up, so that gave us time to wander through RAW's three art galleries to check out the exhibits. We didn't buy anything from the concession stand, but they have quite a few beers and candies for you if you want something. Our theater seats were comfortable and the sound and picture were great for our movie. We were two of only eleven patrons for the 5:15 showing, and that was a shame because the concert film was an exhilarating joy to watch. RAW is quite a place- a nice combination of the arts and cinema, so if that's your thing you'll probably enjoy their monthly cocktail parties.”

“Went to an event for my college class and it exceeded expectations! Fits the vibe for any formal event and can make it fun! Be mindful of parking options as the parking lot is a little small for large events. Would recommend for weddings, formal events, or just big parties!”

“I had a very good experience.... After struggling to find a last minute Hall for a reception after my uncles funeral I posted on a local town site seeking help. The owner personally reached out to me within the hour willing to help us out. (On a sunday later in evening on top of it)We rented the "Crystal room" it was very clean, up to date and the staff was so friendly. Our funeral services ended up ending an hour sooner than we thought it was going to and the owner let us start arriving early. Such a great experience after a sad morning.I would recommend this Hall fo anyone looking to have a wonderfull experience. And will be booking with them in the future.”

“Nice rustic place but I was there when it was dark and rainy so I can't comment on the outside amenities. Getting there was odd with many turns. Place is far out of the way. Food and apps were good with some interesting unique things.”

“Our experience with getting married at The Pavilion and with the CT Wedding Group was amazing from start to finish. The CT Wedding Group is absolutely fabulous and you truly want them being the ones organizing and planning your special day. From the beginning we knew we were in good hands, the wedding coordinators send out periodical emails with what should be next in the wedding planning journey. They have the couple schedule occasional video chats and in person meetings when it gets closer to the big day. Throughout the planning if you had a question, they encourage emails, as the bride I utilized this very much! I would send over inspiration pictures and details about decor for that ceremony and reception, with all this information they start adding it to your wedding profile. The amount of care and time they gave with emails and video calls was wonderful and felt great knowing you were in such good hands. On my wedding day I had zero worry that my vision wasn’t going to be executed.With in a week of the wedding you get assigned a “day of coordinator,” trust me when I say…Every single coordinator is wonderful and talented. Our wedding coordinator was Melinda and she was nothing shy of perfect!!! We appreciated her thoroughness on every detail for our wedding. She was supportive, helpful and cared about us during the biggest day of our lives. Melinda and the staff at The Pavilion were professional, kind and attentive! Our “favor” was a candy table that I prepared and brought the day of, rather than me being stressed about the assembling of my candy table, they displayed and set it up better than I could have even imagined. We are so grateful for everything they did for us. I was brought to tears seeing how amazing our reception looked, thank you for all you did!The food…DELICIOUS!! This will be the best wedding food you and your guest will ever have, I said what I said! Our families were raving and complimenting the food with the highest praise. The Pavilion has a talented chef & kitchen and I believe this is something that sets them apart from other venues. You will be floored by the delicious food and they venue makes sure to feed the guests well, no one leaves hungry. We opted for a cocktail hour “enhancement,” the Mac & Cheese bar and a “late night snack,” pizza!! The enhancements were well worth it for us, our guests LOVED the additional food during the cocktail hour and reception. Another enhancement well enjoyed by our guests was the “tasty bar snacks,” this was well enjoyed by our bar drinkers who grabbed some thick cut bacon and chips when getting a cocktail.Overall, The Pavilion on Crystal Lake and the coordinators in the CT Wedding Group made the wedding of our dreams come to life. I can’t say it enough, but the CT Wedding Group has so much care and love for the couples getting married. They show and represent organization from start to finish in the wedding planning journey. We are beyond grateful and lucky to have picked the CT Wedding Group to put together our wedding at The Pavilion on Crystal Lake.”

“Friendly staff. We took the self-guided tour (they give you a pamphlet). The exhibit on the Amistad was the best part of the tour. The space is often used for civic engagement activities and when we were there, schoolchildren were putting on a mock trial in the old courtroom. Very good programming and it was cute for us and seemingly interesting and edifying for the kids.”

“Came here for the flower & garden show & was blown away, it was amazing & i will definitely go again next year. Take spending money, b.c there are lots of vendors selling a lot of unique & amazing finds from food to jewelery to plants & lotions. If you take cash some are willing to give a little xtra wiggle room...lol”

When we were booking her party, the date that we wanted wasn't available, so we called and they were very accommodating and very nice for booking her party pretty much at the last minute. “What an absolutely amazing golf course! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The courses was in great shape and the greens were playing very fast. There's a lot of renovation happening on the course (blame Rory) so 2 holes played as temporary par 3's, but even those holes were great. Can't wait to get a chance to play there again!”

“You’re not allowed to take pictures inside the house, but Monet’s haystacks are scattered around outside that you can photograph! The entire place is beautifully landscaped and photo ops abound. But, take a tour to see the spaces Theodate Pope Riddle designed and the collection of impressionist paintings inside.”

My 40th surprise party was thrown at Farmington Gardens by my parents and husband and it is very obvious how much Katie listened to them and went above and beyond to made the event “me”.The food was delicious!The drink specials were great!The room was decorated to perfection!The cupcakes (and cake that I refused to share) were out of this world!!!The table games were so fun!I can’t express how amazing everything was and know it would never have happened without Katie’s magical abilities. “I had such a wonderful night. From the time my husband and I walked through the door, service was a 5. The host welcomed us with a beautiful smile. She read my details I listed on my reservation since I was celebrating my husband's birthday. I wanted some privacy seating area for two. The best part was my waitress, Elayshia. It felt as though she knew us, made us feel comfortable, she knew the menu inside and out. She recommended drinks that tasted amazing. She kept checking in with us, pleasant, outgoing, such a bubbly personality. She is everything you would want in a server. We cannot forget the food! Wow.. let me just say, we tried every meat, from flank steak, hot beef, sausages, garlic chicken, and the list goes on. Cold bar was delicious. I had an amazing berry salad, cold shrimp with this mixture of flavors, it was good. Garlic mash potatoes delicious, scallop potatoes delicious. Our food came with a dessert starter. It was a banana mixed with brown sugar and looked like it was pan fried- delicious. If I could recommend 2 things that would make that place even better, it would be dimming the lights just a smidge, it was kind of bright in there but that's not too much of a big deal, but the most important is the music. The music didn't fit the dining experience.*******BEWARE*******Their glass is so clean that while we were there, some one walked right into the glass thinking it was the door to exit and he left leaving his face print on the window....”
