Went in for an office visit for the ENT (Melnik) as I was having issues breathing clearly due to allergies. I received a whopping $700 bill in the mail for a “nasal endoscopy” which falls under surgery for my insurance. The light the doctor put in my nose for about 15 seconds total was, unbeknownst to me, a nasal endoscopy. Was never notified about this before it happened or before I left the visit.
Would have preferred for the doctor to let me know or ask before proceeding, as I was expecting this to be another $60 specialist visit. Nope, $700. Disgusted.

Dr Melnik is knowledgeable, made me feel comfortable and I am very happy I found such a great doctor.

I’m leaving this review after the rudest experience I had this morning. I was on my way to my appointment and forgot that I left my paperwork back at home. I now would have arrived only a LESS THAN FIVE minutes late, which it would have taken much longer to fill out that exact paperwork again if I had forgotten it AND my appointment still would have taken longer than that few minutes I wasted. I called them and asked if that would be okay, she said he’s a “stickler” when it comes to being on time, and comes back to the phone to say, “Yea we’re going to have to reschedule. The next time available time is on JUNE 8TH”, ANOTHER THREE weeks after I had waited three weeks originally to get earwax removed since my primary wasn’t able to because the shape of my ear canal. Then I was rudely hung up on before I could finish responding to her. I can’t hear anything so now I have to go to the urgent care which is what I should’ve done in the first place. Ridiculous.

I went to Dr Melnik today for the first time. My experience, from calling for an appointment to seeing Dr. Melnik was nothing but wonderful. His staff was very friendly and courteous. Dr. Melnik was very friendly and professional from the minute he entered the room. He listened to everything I had to say and I never felt rushed. I would highly recommend Dr Melnik and his office. I was very happy with my experience.

the receptionist of this place was NASTY i tried to call to make an appointment first time she hung up on me.
second time i tried to find out if my Corporate insurance was taken and she said you have to call your insurance.
what a nasty receptionist ... i can picture the doctor being a ghetto from downtown Waterbury as well ..
very disgusting DO NOT GO HERE - maybe because i am Spanish or with Spanish Accent my Caucasian friend called and they were so nice to her....

Yesterday I saw George Melnik, and I can fully say I have a very bad experience. I wish a could give a zero as a review, but I got no option. As a doctor he is required to provide his patients with further details. I had to call him due to my ear noise which apparently is still in my ear even though he cleaned it. Since my concern was the noise he should have told me . I saw this doctor online and it had very good reviews that's why I picked him, but he was a very big disappointment. Even in the phone he sounded extremely not interested to answer my questions. Zero work ethics and empathy.

My visit with Dr. Melnik was great. I am an anxious patient but he was very comforting and took ample time to talk with me. After my visit I immediately scheduled an appointment for my husband because I am confident in Dr. Melink's care. Thank you, Dr. Melnik and staff!

Dr. Melnik is our son, and we love him very much. That being said, we want everyone to know what a remarkable doctor he is. George cares for his patients and his parents with loving care as well as using all of the means at his disposable to assure that there will be a favorable outcome for all who seek his expertise as a physician. We frequently hear from his patients who remark about how happy they were with his treatment. Patients also remark about the fact that he is was so kind, and gentle when performing a procedure. Yes, George is our son, but nothing on this earth could make us recommend him as a physician if he wasn't the best of the best.
