Donated multiple times and then applied for adoption. Gave them all the info that they asked for and then heard nothing. No response to calls. Poor cat is still at the shelter when he could have a forever home. I really wish I had read the reviews before wasting my time. A response of any kind would have been nice. I KNOW it’s voluntary, but it’s not working. I don’t like leaving any kind of bad review, but others should know if my experience. Thanks

If you are looking to adopt a cat or kitten, please consider adopting from here. Everyone is very kind and professional. They are honest and upfront about the cats, and it is obvious that they truly care about them. The cats are well cared for, and the facility is clean. The staff know their cats well, and are very accurate with their descriptions of the cats and their personalities. We came in looking for a very affectionate and sweet cat, and that is exactly what our cat, Scarlett, is. It has been almost a year since we adopted her, and we couldn’t be happier. She is so sweet and loving. When we are ready to adopt a second cat, we will be coming back to Animals for Life!

I would highly recommend Animals For Life for anyone hoping to find a healthy, well-cared for and loved Kitty. We found our forever fur baby, Zorro, just in time for Christmas for my 14 year old son.
Anita and Cathy were extremely professional, knowledgeable about the backgrounds of every cat there and handled them with lots of TLC.
We are in love with our Zorro and feel so appreciative of everything Animals For Life did for him before he came into our lives. Consider rescuing a baby today from Animals For Life. They truly love their kitties there!

I put in an application for a cat a few weeks ago. My kids boyfriend and I we’re given a day to come meet the cat we were interested in and were there for an hour playing with the cat and having a look around to see if any others might have been a better fit. When leaving we were told how great it went and that “the board” would make their decision and give us a call to schedule a home visit . It’s been a week and 3 days now. I’ve called and left messages and nothing. No decency to let me know if we were going to be able to add a fur baby to our family. Nothing. I feel like this place is extremely u proffesional. If things went great like they said and see that I’m ready and able to give a loving home why haven’t I heard anything ? Definitley don’t recommend Animals for life. I’ll be looking elsewhere.

If you actually want to adopt a cat, look elsewhere. After they received a acceptable review from our Vet, we were granted a visit on a Wednesday evening at 8:30 Pm.Played with the kitten we wished to adopt for a while, while there, we were questioned about our existing pets, why we wanted another etc. I’m surprised they didn’t ask for a DNA swab. At the end of the visit we were told that the prospective adoption would have to “go before the board” and that they would get back to us soon. We never heard from them again. We were however successful in adopting from a rescue in New Milford. The kitten we got from that rescue has been successfully introduced to our two shiba inu’s and our older cat. Everyone is getting along great! Bottom line, don’t give this rescue the time as they won’t for you.
