Our 1st stay was in the Valiant Room-so cute, dockside & paired to look like the inside of a ship- we loved it. Last week, We stayed in the Kathleen Suite & it was spacious with all the extras . It was 1st floor , which we prefer with a comply bed( bed stairs needed & provided). The sitting area dockside gave fabulous view of the River, the Park & the Draw bridge. Will definitely return. Both rooms offer a great stay/ breakfast is friendly service & we enjoyed meeting other couples staying at the Inn. The Manager is friendly& kind and we enjoyed discussing her lovely garden flowers. The staff is helpful & everyone made each couple feel special-can’t wait until our next visit to this lovely New England town & clean, beautiful Steamboat Inn.

Ahead of our first trip to Mystic, my wife and I did extensive research on local accommodations, attractions, and bar/restaurants. We couldn’t have been more pleased with this centrally located yet tucked away boutique hotel! The staff was kind and helpful. Breakfast portions were generous and tasty. We opted not to eat in the dining room and they do offer delivery for $20 that I probably wouldn’t have paid if I knew the pick up was mere feet away from our second floor room. The bathrooms were spacious and clean, even offering a whirlpool tub/shower. NOTE: While grab bars are mindfully installed, those with mobility issues or who are vertically challenged may find in/out a little tricky. When we visit Mystic again, this is where we will stay (if not sold out)!

5 Stars always here. This weekend was our second time there. The service is Excellent and all the staff are so pleasant. all steamboat themed rooms. We stayed in the same room as the previous time and our room the Valiant is right on the water on the back side of the Inn. Perfect location wise. Walk out our door and we are at the Mystic River. Straight ahead and out the window is the schooner Argia (awesome ride on her) turn left and we are staring at the Mystic River Bridge and like a 20 foot walk and you are at the main strip in Mystic with the bridge on your right and all the food, shops and bars you'd want all in a short walking distance. Breakfast is included and I cannot say enough about the lady in the breakfast room upstairs. She knows her Mystic. She is always so thoughtful and caring and the food is so good too! 100% will be coming back again in the future.

We stayed in the Carolyn Suite and had a wonderful time. The room is spacious, has a hot tub, and has a small kitchen area. The inn is within walking distance from downtown, so our car stayed in the parking lot. The staff was kind, the breakfast and coffee was delicious, and the room we ate in was cosy.Outdoor signs encourage quiet hours after 8pm, and while we still heard people talking on the docks, it didn't bother us. For those looking for a quieter room, one of our friends was in a suite upstairs and said he didn't hear anything.

Our second night in Mystic we stayed in the Caroline room at the steamboat. This is a first rate inn, very clean and we had our own private entrance right on the pier! The bathroom was huge! A very nice shower and an immense jetted soaking tub for us to take advantage of. We also had unforgettable views of the Mystic river. We had a perfect range of vision of the drawbridge going up from our room as well, everyone stops to watch that! It's perfectly located from downtown, only 5 minute walk from all the shopping and restaurants that Mystic has to offer. Sadly we missed breakfast because we had to start our travels early being that we were headed to Maine. I would definitely recommend this and hope to come back again.

The Steamboat Inn not only met my expectations, it exceeded them. The room was beautiful, cozy, and clean. The view was perfect! I could see the river, the park, the bridge, the town, etc right from my window. The shops were within walking distance. Breakfast was delicious. The staff was warm, welcoming, and very accommodating. I enjoyed my stay tremendously and was sad to leave.Rooms: Everything! It was gorgeous. The bed was a bit high for me but I appreciated the stool. The comfort and beauty of the room was only surpassed by the view.Nearby activities: I didn't get to see all the sights and activities as my stay was a short but I enjoyed every thing from the famous Mystic Pizza to shopping to spontaneous singers in the park. It was lovely!Walkability: Every thing was within walking distance. Shops, restaurants, activities, etc.Food & drinks: Breakfast was delicious and the staff was extremely kind and accommodating.Noteworthy details: Warm, welcoming staff, luxurious room, amazing view, close to shops and restaurants.

Best location for visitIng MysticWe have visited Mystic on a few occasions over the years but in the last few years were overwhelmed with the crowds and difficulty finding a parking space. Steamboat Inn is very close to the bridge and has parking included. We walked to all the restaurants and drove to other places, like the aquarium. We had the Kathleen suite, on the first floor and riverfront. Room was spacious, clean, bed very high. Breakfast was wonderful in the dining room.

This quaint small inn is centrally located to everything in Mystic. It is on the river right near the center of town making everything accessible and walkable, which we did. The inn has a very good breakfast with plenty of food. Only three choices. And because we stayed for four nights, we had to repeat menus. The room is comfortable but a little dated and in need of an update. The couch for example was pretty well worn and kind of dirty. The bed was comfortable. The shower was excellent. The staff were extremely nice and looked after all of our needs. Definitely stay here again given the great location.

Beautiful, clean rooms and friendly service! Breakfast is included in the price of the room and served in a delightful sitting room, and the location can't be beat for a trip to the Mystic area.

Enjoyed a wonderful 2 night stay at the Steamboat Inn in Mystic. The location of the inn is excellent. Mystic waterfront shops and restaurants are all within walking distance. The room was called "Summer Girl." It was clean and beautifully decorated with a wonderful view of the river. The only real complaints I would have was that the bed was pretty hard, so not the most comfortable for me. Also, there is a wine dispenser in the room, but no coffee machine which was kind of a bummer. You have to walk down the hall in the morning to the coffee machine. The other issue was that the room was really warm. I had the windows open most of the time in February and the heat off.Breakfast was very good and they accommodated my food allergy very well. All in all an excellent small inn in a wonderful location!

If you’ve never stayed here before you will love it. If you’ve been a regular over the years there are many changes. Some not so good. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The extra little somethings are now gone. There use to be homemade cookies and sherry in the afternoon. There was a fish with chocolates and granola bars if someone wanted a snack along with a comfy place to read the paper that was there. If you wanted bottled water it was there for you along with coffee and tea and soda. Now there is 2 bottles of water left in the room at the beginning of the stay. The coffee and tea is moved into the upstairs hallway.Seems like a strange place to be especially if your room is there. They are still serving hot breakfast but you have 3 choices and if you want more than a slice and a half of French toast you will not get it. If you get the scrambled eggs they bring you 1 slice of toast of their choosing. Before it was buffet with an assortment of choices. We have been coming here for 12 years. They accidentally gave our room reservation away for next Thanksgiving weekend. The reservations are made for this weekend 14 months ahead of time. They did offer us a ground level room which we refused. We’ve had the view of the Christmas boat parade from the same upper level room all these years. The view is blocked downstairs by the crowds on the dock. I believe a new owner bought it and seems to be cutting corners. We will come back but I wish it would go back to the way it was. It had those little extras that you didn’t see anywhere else. Still a very nice clean place but just not the same.
