My wife and I have been members since Anytime fitness opened in the area and this gym has had nothing but problems since we attended it because Lisbon shut down. Everything is unclean, equipment broken, no staff at all, and went without heat for over a month just a poorly run Anytime fitness don’t join !!!

I had enjoyed going to this gym for years. However, the management swapped hands, and it was quickly downhill from there. Between it not being staffed or cleaned, then a total shutdown of communication. Me and my family moved out of town, and we were no longer going to the gym. I had been going to the anytime in colchester, but my wife's membership was never updated to the new location. It took me two months to get a hold of someone between calling and showing up during normal hours. Even then, the only way I spoke to someone was because I acted like a new customer. They scheduled me a call with the manager, and he offered to close her account if I paid the two past bills (I had to make a stop payment with my bank). He referred to this as meeting me in the middle. How does a company do far less than the minimum required tasks but expect its customers to honor their contracts. Definition of unprofessional and zero respect for its members.

Applied for a free day pass and tour of the gym 8 days ago. The website told me a staff member would be in touch to schedule a tour. Continued to call and email every day for 8 days with zero response. Trying to become a member is impossible as the staff is unresponsive and seemingly uninterested in taking my money. Disappointing to see this gym completely ignore inquiring new leads.

I used to love coming to this gym. Then management changed and this place is literally in the toilet. It’s unkept, machines are broken and for what it used to be it’s unfortunate it’s going down hill! I don’t even have to wait for machines anymore, because everyone’s changing locations. On that note I’ll be next!

Condition of equipment has been degrading. I cancelled my membership after fulfilling the terms of membership including acceptance of invoices for one month beyond the date of cancellation. Unfortunately, the business staff did not discontinue invoicing as agreed. I had to contact the BBB to file a complaint though issue is not resolved. There are many other gyms to choose from. Recommend going elsewhere.

The general upkeep has gone down hill, toilets are disgusting most of the time. Machines are broken and if they get fixed it takes forever, covers on machines are worn and cracked. Trash barrels are usually full and wipe stations seem to be empty a lot. I've only recently started back and it's noticeable how down hill it has gone. There seems to be a lot of discontent with many others as well. This place must be surviving on Silver Sneakers because most of the younger people would not deal with this place

The Anytime fitness in uncasville is absolutely disgusting..the equipment is falling apart..its nasty..the bathrooms are disgusting..the trash is always full and the wipes for the equipment is usually empty..the manager isn't there like she should be..and the phone rings and no one answers

Wow I’m shocked lol I guess I’ll be signing up through planet fitness instead. I wanted to check the gym out so I rang the doorbell, a kind gentleman who was working out answered the door and said the person who works the front desk just shows up whenever she wants. She’s supposed to be there between 9:30-1. Really disappointing. I don’t really care to support a local gym that doesn’t care about potential customers/clients.

I never leave reviews because I’ve never cared enough. This business is ruining anytime fitness’ reputation. I have been all over the country and enjoyed great equipment, and easy to work with staff. I’ve always been pleased with their flexibility and rapid communication. HOWEVER, this anytime fitness had a change of management/staff. They cannot be contacted. They respond to no email, no call, no voicemail. Every time I’ve tried to contact them it takes 2 weeks for them to respond. I’ve had to ask other anytime fitness’ what to do to cancel since they own your billing info and only they can cancel.ADVICE FOR PEOPLE TRYING TO CANCEL: other anytime fitnesses have advised me to create a paper trail of evidence to prove that they continue to charge me when I’ve tried to cancel, so if they refuse a refund there is legal evidence to support. Write emails with references to times contacted and when, to include what you said in a voicemail(“I want to cancel my subscription”).On a separate note this is the only anytime fitness I’ve seen that didn’t let people in for a day (not very 24/7 of them) and it was never addressed or made up for. Me and a couple of guest were stuck outside and tried to contact any and all staff but no one responded (go figure).

Up Until now I had a great experience but I moved to an area without a Anytime fitness near me. Prior to leaving the area I asked about moving and left them my contact information but now they haven’t answered my calls or emails for the last month. Im in my rights of the agreement to cancel but they wont answer.

Has everything you need and manager was very compassionate and cool. Just a smaller gym then I'd expect and equipment seems a little ran down for what you should pay. However would meet anyone's needs if you need a gym

Management is on cruise control. Pads on equipment need replacing. Machines take a while to get fixed. Sanitation is not a priority. Maintenance doesn't replace the HVAC filters until the system goes down, and then it takes weeks to repair in summer. Their response to the dirty air is to place clean filters in the window. If it wasn't for the 24/7 access, I'd go to another gym.

The most disgusting, unkept, gross and smallest gym I’ve ever been to for the price. The dumbbells are falling apart, equipment is broken. Do not come here.
