Have been a long time resident of Monroe. Big Y as far as quality is very good and I highly recommend it. As far as customer service, I've never seen such disengaged, uncaring, rude people before working in a customer service job. How do they get away with being rude to their customers?! Some of the cashiers are cordial. The rest of the staff are not. The worse experience is when I go to the customer service desk. It's not a good shopping experience. I will unfortunately avoid shopping here when I can.

I placed a large order for fried chicken for a picnic for about 100 people. Big Y did a marvelous job of having the food ready upon my arrival. The chicken tasted very good and all were extremely happy. I will gladly use Big Y again for any food order - in addition to shopping there!

I don't why some items carry digital coupon too many just put a price on them why do to be subjected to too many complicated things when we shop.

There is not one sign posted about a mask rule and your cashier Freya was extremely rude to me because I did not have a mask on. - Upon calling customer service I found out there is no mask rule and she is wrongly enforcing it.

I have always been a fan of big y, and constantly say it is my go to grocery store. that is not the case anymore. I planned a surprise party for my friend and called in the party pizza at 3:10 to be picked up at 8:15, 45 mins before they close and 8:30 being their last pick up time. When I showed up, there was no pizza, someone "lost the ticket" or didn't write it down. i told them i was very upset i had a mouthful of people to feed and too late to call anywhere else. they refused to make my order. when i spoke to the manager, they did nothing to accommodate me. this is extremely unprofessional and big y just lost a huge costumer of over 15 years. this is a disgrace to the big y name.

I love this store. They support the community, their shelves are stocked, their food is fresh, the area is cleaned frequently, and they hire and train competent employees.

I purchased groceries. My steak rang up wrong. As the manager came to void out the wrong price. I said so I get it free since it rang up wrong , right? And he said because I wasn't rang out they could just give me the right price. I told him,he lost a customer who shops there multiple times each week. I wish I told him to keep the groceries. Worst customer service I've ever experienced.

Management is terrible here. I'm not from the area & didn't know that in Connecticut you cannot buy alcoholic beverages on a Sunday after 6. Im from Manhattan nyc where rules like that don't exist. As soon as I got to the register I said hello to the cashier & placed my item down. Before she could even speak back the manager ran over & snatched my items off of the register with an attitude. He turned his back to the register & tried to whisper something brief to the cashier. I thought maybe a manager had to check ID. Instead he did not speak a word to me just ran off with the item. The cashier was kind enough to explain why. All I wondered was how long was he watching me walk around the store with that item waiting for me to approach the register. That was the rudest most disgusting encounter ever. Where was the decency as the manager to turn to me & say "hey guys unfortunately we are unable to sell this product at a certain time if you swing by tomorrow we would be more than happy" ... a little customer service goes a long way. Not sure who he was but this was yesterday October 4th at 7pm if that helps anyone narrow him down. Again the cashier was an angel unfortunately her manager was terrible. I'm not upset at all about any rules or regulations. I totally respect it & im glad I know now. It was simply the customer service I received. He also probably didn't expect I have a habit of leaving a review for everywhere I go. Hope he learns for next time.

Just wanted to shout out to Everyone that Jessica in the floral department at the big Y in Monroe is amazing! She is so professional, kind and hard-working. Every time I’ve gone in there she has gone above and beyond her duties to help make my experience great. Thank You Jessica for being Special. ??Cheri

Picked up a pizza for Super Bowl Sunday from big Y and when we got home and opened it .. it was totally black and brunt. How dishonest for the people taking the pizzas out of the oven and putting it in the box! How could they think this is OK to serve this.Wow **** never heard back from the business manager who asked for our information and did try to send the info she asked for to the business page as she did not give any contact information****
