I've been with people's bank going on 15 years at least. With the exception of one Incident involving overdraft checks, They have truly been the best bank I've ever banked with I'll be truly sorry to see them go.

Today was the most disrespectful encounter I have ever experienced at this bank! I have been banking there since July 5, 2004 on my own and previously my parents had all of our money in CDs. I understand rules are rules but this new manager who took over for Angela is a donkey. Apparently having 15 years of my own accounts and 20+ years of my parents banking here doesn't account for anything in his eyes. My business account was CLOSED with NO notification. When I explained to him personal issues I have been having and that I'm not tech savoy so I don't use the computer or App to check my accounts he told me that is my problem. The old manager would reach out to me if something was happening and would tell me to come put money in the account. When I told him this he laughed and said it's not his responsibility to do that. It may not be his responsibility but the tone and disrespectful remarks that were made in our 3 minute conversation were uncalled for!

Terrible customer service... “rob†from the location when he wasn't trying to just speak over me lied about charges brought to my account from peoples then proceeded to try and blame any and everyone one else for the charges. Luckily we only have one account with them so it will be easy to leave and never look back. I plan on calling any costumer service line they have to complain. “Rob†might want to reconsider a career in banking when he can't figure out how to handle a complaint.

Always ready to help you is a line of crap.I tried calling to speak to customer service and was on hold 12 minutes and then disconnected.I called again and waited 24 minutes to get an Andy in loans who disconnected me.The purpose of the call was to change my checking account product.When my branch refused I closed my account.I have referred business accounts and personal accounts to this bank for 2 years.Shame on Peoples Bank for your rigid policy and rules.Your branch people don't even know the correct customer service phone numbers or their district managers number.I found the product you use to give me 2 minutes down the road at another bank.Trust and loyalty begets trust and loyalty.Your bank failed miserably today.You must be proud.I'm sure I'll get my family members and most of my friends to switch to my new bank in a week or two.my branch was in coram n.y. at stop and shop
