My daughter took her car here for service recently. During that visit, she was told she needed a new battery ($500) and front brakes and rotors ($650). Thankfully, she declined both. While the battery did need replacing, I was able to do it for half the price. My real issue pertained to the front brakes. Since their brake pad measuring gauge indicated the color red, my daughter was told that her front brakes were completely worn out. We subsequently took her car to Brake Centers of America in Bridgeport and the manager, Emilio, did another inspection of her front brakes. This time the pad-life measuring gauge tested yellow (indicating caution). Emilio said my daughter could probably go another couple of months without a problem. Since we were there, and she had the time, she decided to get them replaced, and did so at a much more affordable price. Based on the less-than-transparent business practices of this service center, we will no longer be bringing our vehicles here.

Purchased a 2012Lexus ES350 with 95000 miles on it as is. Less than a month later it over heated. This can happen so i took it to a Lexus dealer for repairs. At some point previous the car had overheated and caused the head gasket to fail. It was going to cost over $10k to repair. The boot on the front axle was shredded and spraying grease .

Made an appointment 2 weeks ago to have a remote starter put in after getting a quote during a recall repair a few weeks ago. Showed up today for my appointment and they didn't have the part in stock. Told me it was my fault for making the appointment online and not calling because the part needed to be paid for before they could order it. I asked if they review the appointments made before people show up to make sure everything is OK and they have the parts they said no they don't look at appointments before people come in. They then asked me if I wanted to make an appointment to have it done. I was at the appointment I made to have it done while being asked to make an appointment. I said no I will be taking my business elsewhere the girl said ok and walked away. No sense of ownership at this dealership. If there were stipulations on the part i shouldnt be able to make an appointment online. After my recall repair a few weeks ago when I left my car was rattling. Had to bring it back and was told it had a broken bracket on the heat shield. Clearly they broke it while doing the recall because it didn't rattle prior. Had no car for 2 days. One for the recall and one for them fixing the issue they caused. Also, when I bought this car from them in 2017, they lied about how many miles were on it, and the salesman I was working with told me "we know there's something wrong with your car (I traded in a Nissan altima that had nothing wrong with it) so you're lucky were offering you what we are for it." I was younger and it was the first car I bought on my own and feel like I was taken advantage of. Wouldn't have ever brought it up, but after the experience I had today its worth mentioning so others can beware.

These unethical people sold my friend a car that had engine failure as soon as CT lemon law protections expired. They are either incompetent or unethical. Do not trust any car from these people.

Dan Perkins pushed a Hyundai on my friend kyle that suffered complete engine failure within one month of purchase. These people either don’t screen their inventory well or rip people off or both. Avoid the Dan Perkins dealerships

Terrible experience. Stay far away from this place. I bought a used hyundai exactly one month ago . Got a loan on it. About 2 weeks ago started making some noise then last week started stalling. I brought it in to them to fix it and all they did wad put oil in it and said it was fine. 2 days later the engine blew . I called them expecting they'd have me tow it in and fix it and the manager called me back and said there was nothing they can do for me. I'm stuck with a car thats shot and expected to pay for it for 5 years. This is supposed to be a reputable dealer, how can they not stand by their product. My life is ruined

The sales staff pushed a lemon on my friend who I was co-signing a loan for. The car did not make it 1 month before engine failure. The car was taken to them a week before engine failure and they claimed nothing was wrong. Completely immoral and disingenuous salespeople. A fraud of an organization.

We purchased our 2019 Forester from Dan Perkins. We took it for it's first emissions test and it failed. Brought it to the service department where they accused us of changing computer codes (What?!?!?) and said it was fine and that we should just take it to another testing site. They charged a $180 diagnostic fee , which is ILLEGAL given the time frame of the purchase. They gave my wife grief over the fee. My wife presented the law to them latter, and only then did they offer to credit the fee. They said the computer codes were fixed. I took a couple more hours out of my busy day to retest and it FAILED AGIAN. THIS IS NOT A TRUSTWORTHY DEALER!

Their Lifetime Warranty is just marketing hype. Buyer beware. It's been two weeks and DPS has yet to respond to any of my questions about their "warranty ".

DO NOT GET YOUR CAR HERE. Guy promised new tires and breaks. Never followed through. Had to replace everything after I bought the car. Was a vital piece I also had to replace - things you would think they would fix at a dealership before reselling a car. Cost me another $1600 on a 12k car just to drive it. Also jacked up the sale price. NO MORALS AND EXTREMELY BAD BUSINESS ETHICS. DO NOT GET YOUR CAR FROM THESE SCUMBAGS!
