I've always found this Home Depot to be clean, well stocked, and usually I'm easily able to find the item, or employees can help me. Easy to get project advice, and we've been going here for years. The bathroom is pretty much always clean (way better than most places) customer service has been quite easy. Not super happy about the returns without receipt policy, but I understand why, as so many people shoplift. Just remember to send receipt to email, or use card every time so returns can be found by card#.

some great people. got me unloaded quick and after my appointment time as I didn't get the load until after it was suppose to be picked up so was 2 hrs late getting it there. but got me off so I could get to my next drop and didn't have to wait until morning. like I said great people .

Bought a 16 ft Werner aluminum ladder online and picked it up at Middletown CT store. Brought it home in our car and when we went to use it 3 days later we realized we were given a defective, bent and very dusty ladder. The bad part of the ladder was hidden quite well. Hard to believe that no one at Home Depot noticed the many defects in this ladder. Returned it to back to store for refund. Very frustrated with this experience. There is absolutely no way they should have given us a defective ladder! Grrrr! Several days later and still no ladder. We were offered a 24 ft ladder for the same cost but that is much too big for what we need and no way for us to get it home unless we rented a truck. We could have taken a road trip and possibly have gotten one at the Glastonbury store or Southington or Berlin BUT who would want to do that? We may just end up getting one at Lowe's in Cromwell at some point. Given the circumstances it would have been helpful on their part if they had offered to deliver a replacement ladder AND pick up the defective one. That was never an option, we were told we had to get the ladder back to the store ourselves. ***I am reposting this review because somehow the original review seemed to have disappeared?***4/23/2021

I enjoy visiting this store. I took delivery of a 1000 lb rated Milwaukee P-Handle hand truck with 15 in pneumatic tires which I purchased online. The store is large and well-organized They have great inventory for most of my DIYs

They do NOT take care of their sidewalk. My son fell walking into the store. I told two employees and was screamed at for saying it was unsafe. Customer service sucks and evidently this store does not care about customer safety on premises!!!

Home Depot in Midddletown is large store . Large nursery section at this location. Home Depot staff was friendly and helpful found everything I was looking for,specifically in the gardening department. Because I did not now much about gardening.

I placed an order online for "express delivery". Their ordering system would only allow me to select items they had in stock at the time. I completed my order, paid nearly $3K, and had a delivery date a week after the day I ordered. The day of the scheduled delivery, I checked online for the status because I didn't get the call that morning that I should have about the delivery. Website promises online orders ready in two hours. Made my selections and paid for them online. Placed my order before the store was open. I went to pick the order at 5PM and not only wasn't the order ready, the customer service person said it wouldn't be ready for 2 days! I'm disabled. You would think someone would bestir themselves to get two items and bring them to the customer service desk. Yeah. Not shopping there again.

Went to home depot about a week after my order was placed. Never received a message saying my order was ready but called ahead to confirm I could still pick it up. I was told that if I don't mind waiting that I could come pick up. So I did that, went to the store, called right before I arrived and they told me to call back even though I was 2 minutes away. Arrive at home depot, called in.. Took them about 5 minutes to answer the phone, then when the call was picked up. I was greeted by a snarky woman named Molly with a HUGE attitude. She was instantly rude and told me I had to wait for my order to be picked. So I waited, for about an hour in the parking lot and watched SEVERAL customers showing up for their pickup orders and leaving. I ask one of the gentlemen bringing out pickup orders what was going on with my order and I had been waiting for an hour. He went inside and came back out saying I had to come back tomorrow. AFTER WAITING FOR MY ORDER TO BE PULLED FOR AN HOUR, THEY ONLY HAD 4 DOORS TO GRAB. I go home and call the next day, low and behold. Customer service said they had to cancel my order after me waiting a week for my order to be filled, then waiting outside for AN HOUR for pickup as they claimed they were picking it. (MIND YOU EVERYTHING CLAIMED TO BE IN STOCK WHEN ORDERED AND I CONFIRMED EVERYTHING WAS AT THE MIDDLETOWN STORE). I also confirmed with online AND with another phone call to the store to see if they could make sure the doors were in stock and they were! UNEXCEPTABLE HOME DEPOT, THIS ORDER WAS OVER $1000 AND WAS JUST THE START OF WHAT I NEED FOR MY HOME. After this experience I will no longer be using Home Depot as they do not appreciate or take care of their customers. I will be doing all of my home improvement business through Lowes going forward.
