Very professional facility starting with entering the facility, meeting with the veterinarian tech, and then ultimately the veterinarian. Very knowledgeable and informative. They showed kindness and care to our pet. Would most definitely recommend this facility.

I’ve been to Pieper Veterinary a few times now for my pet rats and the avian and exotics team are always so knowledgeable, compassionate and kind. Would highly recommend them.

Always a great visit, sadly not for a good reason but the staff and facility are top notch. Dr. Hammond is fantastic as well, the level of empathy and focus on our dog's well being is beyond expectation.

Everyone was kind, considerate and thorough in conversation and in addressing my pet’s and my needs. Everyone listening to the symptoms/concerns and was reassuring to me that doctors at Pieper could help address those concerns. I was able to get an appointment fast. The cost was reasonable and the care was phenomenal!

The care from the oncology team was compassionate and the doctor explained all our options and how likely they would be to help/improve quality of life. She was straightforward yet kind.

Very disappointed in the services provided. Two ER trips in the last week and the issue was never solved. Took my pet to our actual vet, 1/32 of the cost and the issue is resolved. Stay away

I called on a Saturday to schedule my visit. The lady on the phone said it was first come first serve basis. I checked in by 2 pm that day. My pet was not seen until 4:35 pm. I was also one of the last people to be serviced, as many people had already came and gone with their pets. After taking my pet into a separate room, an additional 20 minutes had gone by and I was still in the waiting room without any acknowledgment whatsoever. I had to ask one of the workers if she knew what was going on. When I finally was reunited with my pet, I was brought into a separate room by myself. It seemed as if my pet was misplaced. I got the impression that the staff was not very knowledgeable at all. After waiting for hours they tell me that I would have to schedule an appointment on a later date to take care of my pet. When I was waiting for after care instructions I sat in the waiting room again for 35 minutes before I asked where the after care instructions were. The lady said she would go check and took another 30 minutes. I left. It seems like the ladies working there really didn’t enjoy their job one bit. The facility is also very smelly, I would never come back here because apart from wasting my time and my pets time, they did nothing for her and had the nerve to bill me. They need more training.

Folks we are so pleased with the care Dr Hammond has given to our little Frenchie. His bedside manner is kind, informed & the procedure our dog had done by him has been nothing short of wonderful. What an asset to your practice & to the pet owners. He obviously loves what he does & it shows...him & all you guys at Pieper. Thank you!

I was just in there tonight. Came in there crying because I was so worried about my pet hedgehog. They took him right in back and did a full examination and everything. My hedgehog is going to be just fine. These guys go above and beyond. They are so efficient and very caring. They are absolutely fantastic!!! Thanks for all you do!!!

I wish I could give zero stars! I came here on a Friday night because my dog seemed to be uncomfortable with a certain area on the back of her neck. When I looked it did look more red in that area under her coat. I assumed it was allergies but wanted to have her seen to check the severity and confirm what it actually was. My vet was closed for the night and Pieper was one of the hospitals they had on their recommended list (which they obviously have to update to remove).Upon calling Pieper, they let me know that I could be waiting there all night to be seen depending on the severity of cases that come in - that’s fine, I understand. We get there and end up only having to wait 3 hours before my dog is taken in the back. She was then in the back rooms for an hour - not sure what they were doing during that time. They then bring her out to me and tell me they are going to take me and my dog into another room to wait for the doctor to come talk to us.We wait in that back room for over an hour. I was starting to worry that they had forgotten about us in there. The doctor finally came in and explained that there was nothing wrong with my dog. That yes, there was some redness but it was likely just a little irritated from an airborne allergen. I asked her if she is sure, can she double check, the area seems very irritated and is obviously incredibly uncomfortable for my dog. She looks again and says that it is fine, must just be an allergen. She tells me to “follow up with your regular vet in a week if you want to”. They send me home after having me pay $190.I listen to my intuition and make an emergency appointment with my regular vet the very next morning. They are SHOCKED to say the least as they immediately see that the area on my dog’s neck is a severe hotspot. They are shocked that Pieper 1) did not know this upon basic inspection and 2) did not shave the area for a closer look. They said that it should be blatantly obvious to any vet that looked at it even briefly and even before being shaved. The hotspot was so bad that my dog had to be on antibiotics for 3+ weeks. Imagine if I had listened to Pieper and waited a full week to bring my dog in to my regular vet! Money usually does not matter to me when it comes to my dog’s health but it is wild that I paid Pieper $190 to basically keep me hostage for 6 hours and for them to miss what should be a blatantly obvious diagnosis to a vet.PLEASE avoid this place. I saw another reviewer write that they think this business is having bad reviews taken down and I honestly believe it. Whenever there is a post in my local Facebook group asking for vet recommendations, the post is always inundated with poor reviews of Pieper.

We couldn't be happier with Dr. Winzelberg and the staff at Pieper for their excellent care and concern for our Freddy, a stubborn little doxie with complex medical problems. He couldn't be in better hands. The combination of expertise with warmth for our pet and ourselves makes Pieper our first choice for specialty veterinarian services.

Every person I met was friendly and helpful. The complete explanation of what surgery is needed and how it is done made me feel more comfortable about making this necessary decision.
