Very happy with their luthier. I dropped my guitar off to get a full set up he went above and beyond my expectations with making everything perfect and he fixed my amp that other people couldn’t figure out.

Stopped by for a new pack of tenor sax reeds for myself and a few things for my wife. On the store radio was Billy Joel's "Just the Way You Are". I joked and said that after this purchase I'll play the iconic alto sax solo when I get home. A staff member without missing a beat started complimenting the great Phil Woods and his amazing ability to shred his alto. I was surprised, pleasantly, and I will definitely be coming back for all my music needs, maybe even just to chat about Phil Woods.

What an amazing place - a true heaven. They carry all kinds of musical instruments, and I particularly love their guitar collection. Matt, the owner, is really knowledgeable and friendly, so if you are someone like me who does not know what kind of instrument would work best for your needs, go talk to Matt and you can thank me later. :)I have bought a bunch of stuff already from here and will be returning. A big thanks to the staff!!

Went in and was over charged for a item ticketed as one price. All the items were ticketed the same. The counter person knew without looking that the item saxophone reeds were more than advertised. They were an additional $6. No explanation or offer to honor the price on the item.

Yesterday we went in to rent an instrument for my 4th grader starting band and I can’t speak enough on how smooth and easy the process was! When we walked in we were greeted by Jim, who immediately knew everything we needed and even our band teacher by name (impressive!). Our son can tend to be a bit shy but the charm of this place seemed to make him feel right at home! If I had to I would say the whole interaction took all of about 10 minutes and we were on our way. Definitely recommending this place to anyone I know looking for help with an instrument, thanks again!

I would give Middlesex Music Academy a 0 if I was able to. I called to inquire about a $150 charge when I haven‘t been confirmed by John the guitar teacher. I made a request to Matt that Tuesday was my preference but John was booked so he scheduled Thursday at 6pm. I received a text and email from John yesterday that he had a conflict for Thursday and offered Friday. I responded via text/email that would not work and inquired if this was temporary or permanent to which I did not receive a response. I let John know this may not be a good fit then. I called today to have the charge refunded and Jim proceeded to call me names, saying I was yelling & screaming over the phone and I was being rude. No need to go into the dramatics but Jim needs a lesson in manners, telling the truth and understanding that being a manager does not give him the authority to behave poorly. Never once did I raise my voice but did correct Jim several times throughout the conversation all because i asked for a refund. Extremely unprofessional and a bad look for Middlesex Music all around. I will be taking my business elsewhere. Inexcusable & theater worthy performance by Jim today folks!!!

Jim at middlesex music was amazing!!! I came here yesterday to get a music book for my 5th grader. Jim knew I was going to need to rent a snare drum kit for him but I was unsure of it so I left without it . he jokingly said see you tomorrow. well guess what he was right! I went back today to get the snare drum kit that my son conveniently forgot to tell me I needed . Jim set me up with everything I needed we had a quick laugh and I was on my way . Thank you for the awesome customer service

I had a last-minute emergency repair needed for my flute right before a performance, and the staff at Middlesex Music Academy were all so kind and helpful. They fixed my flute in record time, and walked me through the whole process with the highest of professionalism. Thank you so much!

I signed up for a piano lesson trial online. Their site is very confusing and it’s not clear if the lesson is in-person and online. I called them, left a message but they never called me back. In the day/time of the lesson, I called them 3 times because I was having problems to contact the teacher. The guy who works there, Jim, clearly doesn’t have any customer service skills. He was rude and unpleasant. He didn’t make any effort to help me, told me a was confused and nobody else had problems. I just canceled the future lessons there. It’s easier just hire a private piano teacher. Hopefully I will never have to deal with this guy again.

I had always wanted to learn to play guitar. I stopped in Middlesex Music Academy just to look. I was greeted by an extremely friendly young man who answered all my questions and,more importantly, didn't try to sell me anything. As it turns out, he's the owner. I decided on a medium priced acoustic guitar and signed up for lessons with an amazing teacher. I cannot say enough great things about Middlesex Music Academy.

Love the staff and selections of instruments. I’ve gotten repairs done there with my old drums and my guitars and they have the best expertise when it comes to repairing instruments. Bought my first guitar since 2009 from there and I absolutely loved the feel and playing it. Matt and Jim are awesome.
